Cast: Alexander Lo, Alan Hsu, Robert Tai, Ting Hwa Chung, Wong Chi Sheng.
The shaolin monks and the japanese ninjas are intwined in a confusing mystery of murder. While trying to figure out the culprate, a question of power and ability comes into play. The Ninja's believe that their martial arts is far superior to that of the monks. A tournament is set up between the two parties involving 7 fights each groups best fighters going head to head. As the two show off there weapons, and styles and shapes, the real murderer is suddenly brought into the open. Now the two groups must drop everything and deal with the evil power.

Movies like this remind me of how deceitful and ignorant humans can be towards each other. A little knowledge is dangerous but even those that have knowledge use it in the wrong way. Though right and wrong is decided by each human and overstanding of each other can prevent misunderstanding

Didn't know Japanese had their own Shaolin Warriors. It's a clever strategy to pit them against each others in the Chinese Shaolin Temple. When everything they've planned failed, then the Ninja turn against the Samurai. After the murderer was resolved, they still have to continue their contest for the final exchange of knowledge.

@@johnrobertferrer698 Funny in Christianism somebody asked the first pope "What is heaven?" and he aswered "Nobody never saw it" actually we can't know, both the pope and the fictional shaolin master, are wise cause they actually dont know what god is, what heaven is, so he answer it is who can create, who can give life, but any dumb straight answer like we see in some religions asking for money.

First saw this over 30 years ago (Betamax, very-badly English-Dubbed, but was still able to follow the story). I'll admit the odds of it happening are very slim, but IF the original uncut movie with Chinese language and English Subtitles ever shows up, ..... CALL ME!

Alexander lo rei (aka Lou)goes all out in playing monk ! most of the flicks he stars in are Action packed and although i do not like Chinese vs Japanese exploit themes much,i like the super action in these flicks and this one has a pretty good story and really cool Action choreography in it,as well.

They messed up this entire dialogue on here. The original 1983 dialogue was better and they cut a bunch of important scenes in this. I appreciate the upload tho. I loved this movie when I was a kid.

Ironic that the Shaolin monk ANNIHILATED those Japanese fighters with Japanese weapons....the nunchakus, or "numchuks" as the uninitiated would lazily say....but they were created in Japan by farmers who had no weapons to defend themselves during an invasion in ancient Japan

I agree with shaolin master teaching being a martial art you need to be discipline not show off your skills to fight always but should only use when it come to self defence.
