I have one running for a few months now, works good. I use it to alert me when packages are dropped off at my front door. Delivery guys don't ever ring the door bell!

I've got several of these, and I think I would have to rate them 3.5-4 stars. Not sure what use they would be talking about to get that much battery life, but I'm getting about a week's worth on a charge. Granted, I have these cams at my hummingbird feeders, so they get continual use during the day. And to charge, you have to flip up a silicone plug to get to the USB port. They would have been a world ahead to equip the camera with an internal loop so you could use one of the wireless charging pads similar to cell phones. Even the waterproof dongle on the v.3 cam would be preferable to the silicone plug. The optimal marriage would be to take the best from the Outdoor Cam and the v.3 cam, and merge them together.

I love the Wyze cam. I know its not recommended but I mounted two of my v2's outside under the eves over a year ago and they are still working just fine. Now I will buy the outdoors ones and bring the others inside. For those who are suffering slow notification, you need to upgrade your ISP or change your router/modem location. Wyze guys, keep up the good work!

I really like the wired models. A few quirks but for 25.00 is awesome. I install cameras for a living and chose to have Wyze cam at my house to try it. It's been great for the notification to sort out People from Motion.

Was in process of buying 3 version v3 outdoor cameras for my home in Minnesota, they only go down to -5 deg and staff said it would be damaged at lower temps if used. In MN is is common to see -30 to -50 deg, sorry that's a know design defect.

I have 3 Wyze cams . 2 outdoor and the Wyze 3 wired . The wyze 3 is better than the wireless outdoor cams but I hate the fact that they have to be plugged in to a source . When I had one outdoor cam and one Wyze 3 everything worked well . When I added a second outdoor cam and bought Wyze cam plus I have had nothing but problems with the app , alerts and one camera does not detect motion .

Still mad how they announced this camera. They announced it as the camera in the ecosystem that finally had IP ratings but had limits due to battery. Then a couple months later they go and release wyze cam v3 which adds everything except battery to the original camera plus better quality optics and night vision. Plus it’s cheaper than the outdoor. The outdoor is buggy and requires frequent charging. It works for some uses but wish they hadn’t pushed it as their outdoor security camera and then release a better product for that use in a few months.

The only thing wyze is missing in camera department is floodlight cam with small solar panel option like how ring has it. I would love to install such tech in front of my garage doors. And please let there be 24/7 recording and sd card wyze. Thanks 😊

Alerts/notifications for this is painfully slow. Serves no purpose of an outdoor camera when alerts come minutes after detecting someone.

Hello. I just got my Wyze can v2, and I insert a SD card, it shows the SD card on the app, but it doesn't look like is recording to the SD card; also, how can I increase the recording time (right now is 12 seconds)?.

I work as a service maintenance for department stores and we most take pictures of everything we do to justify repairs. Q-A 1 - Does your wise can outdoor has the capacity to comect directly to my phone not on a network. 2 - can it record timelapse video to my preferred settings to minimize file size data for email purposes. 3 - Will you ad a 1/4-20 for a tripod mounted application. 4 - power on/off feature on the camera itself. I need a camera with batteries that I can carry around to used as a regular video camera or timelapse for work or camping or just to monitor my family on the go standalone capable. I had provided cameras to my employees and has become a very expensive thing with them. Too fragile ... to many features for settings ... they get stolen or some how they loose or forget or some kind of unknown story on what happened to the camera. Can you help at least to answer my questions please.

Poor Ted is going to have to climb that tree every month to recharge it. response time is MUCH better than the V2, but in a real world use just know you'll get MAYBE a month. If you're good with that they're a great option, if you can't wire a V3 (those are AMAZING, best Wyze product so far)

Love Wyze products but they really failed with the Wyze Outdoor Camera. My camera dies in 2 days and takes forever to charge fully.

The products are great, but they're just rebranded Chinese products with custom firmware. I was a bit surprised with the number of "new" products they launched in such a short period but then I did 30 seconds of research. Still good value though.

Wyze Cam Outdoor is OK at best. Needs a cheaper version 2. They bascailly scammed us here by making the V3. The V3 is so much better and cheaper and only requires cabling.

Came here after reading a tech article about camera can be hacked and not fixing since 2017.

The Outdoor camera is just a disappointment. Though the PanCam, V2, V3 are not and I'm happy with them.

Shouldn't need Cam+ to watch complete motion if you have an SD card. Should be like every other Wyze camera.
