I love how at first, when Holman is talking about how he expected Mulder to be more experienced, Mulder just keeps walking, but when he mentions Scully being beautiful and enchanting he stops dead in his track and glares at him. Mulder, everybody can SEE.

I like after Holman said ‘I’ve seen how you two gaze at each other’ Mulder pauses and tries to figure out how exactly to respond to that. And then just changes the subject 😂

At this point (early season 6) Mulder and Scully have been romantically involved since he declared his love to her in Fight The Future. They're trying to be discreet about it, but people do notice how they interact. And sometimes, no matter how careful they are, they can't help giving themselves away.

It’s a cute scene but it just drives home to me how much Chris Carter messed up the Mulder Scully relationship with his insistence on keeping it platonic. In life, there is a window where love can happen and it passed for these two, and then things were written for the two characters that were impossible to come back from. Then the romance was kind of sprinkled in when the writers got desperate because David Duchovny quit (he was right to, everyone should have called it a day). And even then they couldn’t let it be a real love with all this IVF stuff and then what was written in s11. Just argh. Such a shame.
