I suppose we have David Duchovny to thank for giving us one of the hottest and most adorable Scully and Mulder scenes ever. Seeing them be playful like this warms my heart. You can tell how in love they are here.

This is such a special scene. Not just for the X-Files, But generally. There's just so much there - the actor's amazing chemistry, the excellently scripted banter... It's clever, emotional, funny, meaningful and sexy as hell... In my heart, this is the true final scene of the whole show.

This was a very special moment in the series. I can't imagine anyone who saw this scene while watching the show wasn't smiling ear to ear. This was also a pretty good monster of the week episode.

I honestly didn’t remember this episode from my original watch back in the 90s. But Oh wow! Perfect M/S scene. The banter is on point, the sexual tension phenomenal. And just shows that when the writing’s given over to people who know these characters, the crock about platonic relationships is dutifully ignored. Thanks DD. The scene with the ice cream at the beginning of this ep is also fabulous! I wish the revival had focused more on these types of episodes and not the darkness it turned to. Moulder and Scully forever.

gillian anderson was and still is the most exquisite woman i have ever seen.

I watched this show in middle school back in the 90s so I’m doing a proper rewatch now and I just want to say that there’s no way they arnt at least in some way a couple at this point. The previous episode Scullys feelings were ousted and now here they are so flirty and handsy and that is not how they typically are u less something dramatic is going down.

This is definitely one of my alltime favourite scenes on the show!♥

D.D. Definitely did a Great job writing and directing this episode. Duchovny said the scene looked a lot better when he boarded it, he said this scene came out Horrible. He said it looks like they're fighting over a bat. GA said it looks like she's holding on for dear life Ha Ha Ha. I remember this scene featured @ the Comic Con live interview. It was a very poignant scene because it was the last of the humorous the happy. It got very dark and tense and sad after that. For the last time we saw Scully and Mulder happy and laughing.

I like how carter gave mulder personality traits like his love of sports. And Duchovny played college basketball so it makes it seem more natural.

DD delivered the goods, knew what the show was, and what it's entire chemistry turned on, CC, while being a genius, missed intentionally the gold that all the viewers had banked on, still hasn't made it right, doubt it ever will be. ....Think of this scene as the end of it, and they ride off into the sunset, can't get better than that...or, perhaps a final meeting on the diamond after another 6 episodes, they meet there again and take us down memory lane and add a final long smooch, can't get better than that.
