X-MEN 97 EP 8 BREAKDOWN & Ending Explained! We could see an Avengers vs X-Men story come to X-Men 97 finale in the next 2 episodes as Magneto has had enough with humans and trying to coexist with them. X-Men 97 episode 8 breakdown, ending explained and easter eggs as we dive into Bastions plan, how he was/is working with the U.N. and Val Cooper and how Magneto overheard everything. Professor X returns at the end but will his X-Men follow him or follow Magneto? This could lead to an X-Men civil war and the Avengers showing up with Spider-Man, picking sides.

This episode brought a lot of easter eggs which included Beast mentioning Kamar-tajj(Doctor Strange) which he explains cable trying to go back in time, Bastion talking to Doctor Doom and Baron Zemo when it didn't happen in the comics, Silver Samurai, Omega Red, the sacred timeline, William Stryker, and most importantly, Spider-Man is back!!! Nah. Endgame was built up a lot more in the MCU. This show is probably the best thing marvel has made aside from Daredevil and if you count the spider verse movies though. I think Deadpool and Wolverine will be the big crossover for the X Men which would make it more like Endgame

This episode was incredible! That was only Part-1 of 3?!?!? I can't honestly contain my excitement for the next two episodes over the next two weeks! The team-ups, the action, the music, the dialogue, the animation, the Easter Eggs, the cameos, and the respect for the comic book source material and original 90s animated series that inspired it all was absolutely perfect! I'm honestly ready to say that this is my favorite project Marvel/MCU has ever done 10/10 episode! I can't wait for next week!

In the comics, Scott seemed a real jerk for ditching Madelyne for Jean, but with the death fake-out, his character is saved because he can say "I thought you were dead!"

So Gambit is basically dead then? I can't imagine him being resurrected now considering how long it's been. What 10 days? A month? Only thing I can imagine, is Gambit didn't so much get impaled as he got injected by sentinel tech, meaning he would resurrect. To be honest though, I think even that's a stretch, since I'm sure Beast would use his brain to figure out to save him, but obviously Gambit was buried. So with that said, I think Gambit is 100% dead.

Somehow, someway Apocalypse is involved with this and the way that they've taken some storylines and rework them (ex: The Mutant massacre, instead of Gambit being the one to bring destruction down on the Morlocks he's their savior in Episode 5.) it's safe to say that Gambit won't be brought back via time travel shenanigans but as the horseman of Death and serve under Apocalypse which can lead to quite the tension as the team has to deal with, especially Rogue

The events of Genosha being attacked are a fixed point in time, however, Gambits death might not be a fixed point in time. For all we know, in every outcome, maybe a different X-men dies and that might also be one of the reasons Cable tries to undo the events of Genosha.

I love how they are mixing some of the current themes in the comics to throw off the audience. Everyone swore it was Cassandra Nova. I had a feeling it was more of a team of people like Orchis in the comics because it was to hard to narrow down the threat. Also In Krakoa when the mutants come together and figure out they can use the island for resurrection, and start bringing back mutants from Genosha massacre they hide it from humanity and it is eventually exposed to show that they are dishonest and it makes them a target for all the world governments again. Similar to them exposing Charles union with Lilandra at the Shi-Ar. Gambit probably won't be coming back until Messiah Complex and we get the Hope Summers and the 5 storyline . This is an extinction level threat, I want the X-men to go dark they have been playing with Kid gloves and pulling punches. I would love to see them back up Magneto. The Avengers getting involved when Magneto finally makes his move makes sense. But the Avengers have no authority and alot of nerve to get involved when they don't even aid mutant kind .
