The MCU has found it's X-Men writer in Hunger Games Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes own Michael Lesslie!
it's the 40th anniversary of Spider-Man's Black Suit. Venom War will not only pit Venom against Carnage but also PUT SPIDEY BACK IN THE SYMBIOTE for the first time in Decades!
Rob Liefeld is retiring from his time Writing AND Illustrating Deadpool with one last huge event book - Deadpool Team-Up! With Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Gwen and more set to team up with the Merc!
Wolverine is getting a new title with a creative team who are the best there are at what they do - the king of Krakoa Jonathan Hickman and Batman's Bestie Greg Capullo!
Plus as always I preview what’s to come this current week in comic books!
So many studios and channels and conventions and people have made a name for themselves off of adapting comics, and I love that. But I also love these weekly adventures in a medium I adore. So its time to celebrate them.

I've loved your movie vids for years but now I can't wait for a new episode of this show each week. I'd hadn't regularly bought new comics in about a decade. But since January, I've been hitting my local shop every Wednesday morning. Now I've got my whole crew at work going with me every week. Man, that Doom comic was the best Marvel single issue I've read in years. With that creative team, my expectations were already high, and the end product still blew them away. Perfect one-shot. We need to see Sanford Greene doing a new creator-owned book. He's too good.

Just started following you channel and I am so happy I did, love everything you do and the cheerfulness you approach it with. My 3 year old has started begging me to read him comics ever since FCBD, I am having a hard time finding comics that are simple enough for him to be able to follow any recommendations would be very welcome. There are some Spidey and his amazing friends volumes that have been good but now we are needing more variety. Keep up the great work man!

Marvel adventures avengers is a good one (most marvel adventures are great if memory serves) DC has a whole Imprint called young readers or something like that. Local Comic shop should be able to direct you! (Mine has a whole section) Hope this helps!

Good stuff as always. A couple things: 1. I’ve said it before, but I’m definitely interested in more “What to Read Before…” videos. ‘97 season 2, Daredevil Born Again, Superman, I’ll take it all! 2. Also interested in an X-Men movie video, particularly what team you want to see. After reading some of the original Claremont comics and watching the animated series for the first time, I think it’s time they finally got Storm right in the movies. I never knew about her claustrophobia and I feel like that would be super compelling to dig into.

Also yes to all the content. I do DoorDash for a living right now so the more comic stuff ya got movies books whatever I will always at the very least listen to it. Also ordered blood hunt 2 and napalm lullaby 1-2 from this comic shop in Jersey. They gave me a free comic and some stickers with my order last time so I definitely am sticking with them.

To be honest, this was the first I've heard of this being the end of Tom Taylor's run on "Nightwing". I'm actually heartbroken. This is, by far, the best run of the character ever. TT just gets my favorite character so perfectly. I can't help but be apprehensive about what will come after, but I'm hoping for the best. My something cool: I worked out while listening to this. Not out of the ordinary for me, but still.

More comments? Fair enough. I remember hearing during the Infinity Sage (MCU) that Kevin Feige and the people in charge had oodles of stories and story bits in mind when making the movies so if there was a leak they could pivot by swapping bits out to keep the films surprising... Over the years I've seen an explosion of spoilers, and with the growth of that part of the fanbase we've seen a related growth in the ACCURATE spoilers that reach the base. Do you think that Feige et. al. are still making changes to films when things hit the press and (more importantly) that these changes are in part what has contributed to a decline in fan excitement for MCU films as the initial ideas are the better ideas and we're ultimately losing since spoilers are (in some part) forcing less interesting films on us?

Iv definitely considered best runs/best series But probably wouldn’t list it by era (just because continuity ends up invalidating so much) but once I get into the flow of the solo pace and edits don’t take so long that IS a plan down the line!

Haven’t checked out any of Remender since Deadly Class ended so I’ll have to look into Napalm Lullaby. Doom and Miles were also in my top comics. Lotsa comments? Okay... I'm getting back into comics after a hiatus. We're talking around ten (or so) years or more since reading them regularly. Can/will you do a video with various recommended reads that might not be those which EVERYONE else will recommend? Marvel or DC storylines that aren't the company wide stories, or smaller publisher titles or indie comics that are either totally the bomb or deserve more love than they got the first time around...bonus if they've since been collected into trades so they're easier to find.

I only read Doom this week, tell a lie. I read the first arc of North’s FF and as much as Coy hypes it up I felt like he still undersold it. It’s magnificent. As for Doom. I really liked it but I felt like what it wanted to say was a bit rushed. I love the theme of mortality and holding onto anything because the end is endless but, to be honest it didn’t hook me. I said after it was done “oh, that’s it” and I knew it was a One Shot. I would recommend it though because I’m in the minority but I wish we spent a little more time with this morality tale and seeing Doom wrestle with it if that makes sense. Payday is next weekend for me so I’m getting Something Epic and Superman: Secret Origin. As for what else I’m reading now, Batman: Ego and other tales and next week is Ultimate Spider-Man issue 5

@@CoyJandreau same I thought it did very well I think I personally mis-lead myself and I also was reading on my small little phone (I have NO comics shops near me😂😂) so I was getting frustrated having to try and really zoom in on words and stuff to get the full story so I had a negative experience overall for something that wasn’t the teams fault. Again, it’s a great book but definitely get it in physical

It’s mainly so I have time to read the prior weeks books. I’m HOPING to get it to Tuesday (or ambitiously down the line MONDAY) but as of now it takes about 4/5 hours to edit on my phone so it’s a film Monday after other work edit Tuesday after other work situation! This all immediately came to me when I heard that Rob Liefeld is doing a Deadpool Team Up comic. Here are some Deadpool and Spider-Man (and others) team up recommendations if you want: Daniel Way's 2008 run on Deadpool called "Monkey Business"/Whatever A Spider Can". In this Spider-Man and Deadpool try to take down Monkey assassin Hit-Monkey. It is a 3 issue series (#19-21) Also: "Spider-Man/Deadpool: Isn't It Bromantic?!" Peter Parker is in charge of Parker Industries (his own technology company). Deadpool and Spider-Man team up. But Deadpool has been tasked to take down and kill Peter Parker (Deadpool does not know Spider-Man's secret identity). This is from 2016. Deadpool does refer to the amay may dance as a joke that was popular at the time so some cringe Written once again by Joe Kelly and Ed McGuiness (issues # 1-5. There is more story after this but I have not read that far. Don't know where the story goes next) Another one is Deadpool (1997) by Joe Kelly and art by Ed McGuiness. In this one, Deadpool needs to fight the Hulk to fix his un-healed finger (issue #4) The next one is Avengers + X Men "Hawkeye + Deadpool" (issue 8). This is jut Deadpool having a fun time with Hawkeye (Clint Barton) Need I say more? Written by Christopher Hastings. Yes, there is more!!!! LOL Deadpool: Team Up! (issue #885 I would also recommend all the other issues in this series but isn't needed to get a full picture, because there is no full picture in this Team Up! series). In this team up, Deadpool joins Hell Cow (yes that is a real character. She is a Cow that got bitten by a vampire). This is just a fun one off that was written by Rick Spears Finally: "Deadpool: Suicide Kings". This is a great comic written by Mike Benson (issues #1-5). In this one, Deadpool is framed for a crime he did not commit (for once). Now heroes in NYC is out to get him. Some of them are Spider-Man and Daredevil. This is a more grounded but still sexually aroused Deadpool (not enough swearing for my taste - they would normally be blurred but none of that is in this one, that I can find).

Thank you for saying I have great taste. I don't have time to go to comic book stores here in the UK but a local supermarket has 1 collector's type book from Marvel UK.(Panini UK Bookazines. Normally have things similar to the MCU movies and TV shows btw) Right now, they have "Deadpool Corps" on shelf. It is a new one every few weeks.
