That was always my biggest cristicism of X-men. Way too many damn crossovers. One of the reasons I loved Whedon and Morrisons X-men was that they kept the focus on the team.

Awesome job, Omar. Appreciate you taking the time to redo this for us. I've collected most of the run in omni starting with Giant X-men - Uncanny X-men vol 4, Inferno on preorder will work on getting more of this incredible run. Days of Future Past is one of my favorite storylines it was a pleasure to meet Claremont and talk to him about it.

All I need is X-men 1 than I have complete run up to Phalanx Covenant what a time to be a collector. Hopefully after Uncanny X-men vol 5 or Prelude to Mutant massacre whatever they call it we need a second boxset to children of the Atom. Nice video as always.

I can't wait to find out how to read 2017-2018 X-Men Gold, Blue, Red, Black, Jean Grey, Weapon X, Gen X, Astonishing, ResurXion, EXtermination, and Return of Wolverine. Been slowly reading through them and sometimes it's clear what order after you read spoilers. Sometimes I have no idea.

Love these videos!!! Although I use Peter Ms list for X-Men that shiz is so comprehensive, I read my omnis and then supplement all the random stuff with digital... Would love a BatFamily New 52 when all the new ones drop 🦇

The original reading orders were definitely one of the first things I found NMC through (although I think the actual first video I saw was the Knightfall omnis)

I’ve recently started reading X-Men Vol 1 by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby, and I’m surprised how much I like this older style artwork. The writing is really good in it too, some people may find it to wordy so I can understand why it wouldn’t be too everyone’s taste.

Inferno was the culmination of my X-Men reading years, I remember that double-splash page, when the X-Factor met the Uncanny X-Men in Central Park, it blew my mind out. By that time I was already obsessed with Silvestri's work but that page was beyond belief even within his own high standards.

Epic overview. As of now I've read some of the pre-Claremont stuff, Uncanny X-Men Omnis Vol 1 and 2 (GREAT stuff), and I'm on X-Men: Classic (took a break, need to pick it up again). After that, it's on to Uncanny Vols 3 and 4. I have the Milestones for Mutant Massacre, Fall of the Mutants, and should have the one for Inferno on the way soon. :-)

It's funny that the "character who hasn't come back yet" finally came back the year after this video was made. I have not read many of these yet, but I find it interesting just because of what that could mean for possible inclusion in other media such as games, animation and movies. Perhaps when it is more well known that long-forgotten characters have returned at least once, those characters might make more appearances outside of the comics too.

If your going digital, I think the difference between getting the It's Always Darkest Before the Dawn Epic and volumes 7 & 8 of the Marvel Masterworks, is that 8 has issue 38 of Marvel Team-Up but is missing Hulk 182. I don't know the pros and cons of those to options, but there you go!

Love these videos, i never here you talk you about stan lee and roy thomas X-Men. I love the stan lee era and its really underrated. the juggernaut, magneto stories and even the mimic are some of my favourites in this era. What do you think of this era? I own X-Men epics volume 1-7, 12 and 17. This reading order really helps me what to collect next.
