Colossus was part of the second team that went to the island to save the original X-Men. The first team was killed all but Gabriel Summers aka Vulcan brother to Cyclops and Havok.

Colossus was the reason why I took Russian in highschool. Loved him since childhood! This was a good origin rundown!

Wow! Read marvel heavily in the late 80’s early 90’s but some missed the fact that Colossus had a older Brother. Has marvel brought in back in any resent books? To have them Illyana, Colossus and his older brother would be awesome!

it's a shame colossus was never really given the spotlight he deserved in the film franchise. he's one of the more colorful characters ever created by the marvel universe.

Really glad collusus is getting his recognition. He was my favorite as a child and even in the comic's I felt like his power was never put on full display.

I wonder if there is a ComicBook story that that reveals if (COLOSSUS) had fallen in love, along with if he had any offsprings, and if any of them might be members of a future team of X-Men heroes, and to add if one of them might be friends with a member of the new generation of AVENGERS team?

I was so confused. I think all mutants should have a simple origin. They are people, but next stage of evolution for mankind. Hate the overthinking stuff. Keep it simple. People act as if something being simple has no depth. It’s annoying honestly.

They've taken practically every single marvel hero and given them some complicated back story. This is somewhat of a retcon. They didn't change how he met Professor X, but all that other stuff about his brother and the spy were added on much later.

He's about as strong as the Thing from Fantastic Four. Marvel has him currently slightly stronger than the Thing. Not as strong as the Hulk or Thor.

the movies made Colossus stupid like he's Grimlock from Transformers G1 compare to the comic books. Colossus is awesome in the comics, stupid in the movies.

Hell, if you think the movies made Colossus stupid, just look at what they did to Doctor Doom! Possibly the greatest "villain" ever, with the greatest powers and intellect, turned into a bumbling joke.

I don't think there's a character they haven't done this to. If there not retconning origins there updating or changing their original powers. Skip a few comic books and your lost.
