X-Plane 11 | Zibo 737 | Approach Tutorial | LFMN - Nice | RNP - VPT D Rwy 22R

3 жыл бұрынAn approach tutorial for runway 22R in Nice. Something a little more unusual than the traditional apporach to runway 04.
As always, even though I follow as closely as possible real procedures, I am not a professional pilot so feel free to provide any feedback.

Why did you put MDA as 1310 not 1260 according to the chart?

The DA is a decision altitude, so when you hit that altitude you decide whether to continue or go around. The MDA is a Minimum descent altitude, which means that you should never descend below it. If you were to decide to go around at that altitude, before you push toga and pitch up you would descend below it, so most airlines will add a 50ft safety margin to it.
