I love how the core bot (motormaster) is not only not needed in reality but actually once in place makes Menasor worse... .. . That is some big brain design right there. In fact i think a simple plug in panel would have done a better job...

I had this crazy idea where Menasor comes with Non-Transforming Stunticons, whose only purpose is to get ripped appart to form Menasor.

I feel like X-Transbots makes their transformations as aggravating as possible on purpose. I mean even something as small as attaching the leg bots is made needlessly complicated, having to slightly adjust the wheels to get them tabbed in!

When playng with a toy feels like building an Ikea desk...

When I heard it was one of those transformations, I was like "Ohhhhhhhhh. Thats why the video is an hour long".

So what I've gotten from this is "don't buy Motormaster because you don't really need if you're going to keep them combined all the time..."

You have to kill off 3 of the main characters, cut each of them in half, and use them as Christmas blings for the Trailer-Bot.

I do like that the trailer is used for Menasor, if the trailer were just there for Motormaster's vehicle mode it would be a huge waste. Still, I wish it weren't so much of Menasor. The actual Stunticons basically just clip on the completed body, Motormaster especially since he doesn't even do anything except make it all unstable.

I do like that X-Transbots at the very least remembered that Menasor has "secret weapons", i.e. the cannons underneath their forearms. A homage to them, at least, molded in.

I do like how X-Transbots used the car colors in the arms to add to the illusion of them combining, but as @Rumble mentioned below: I agree, I don't like how Menasor is pretty much just bolt on a car instead of a more integrated combination process. And while I like both versions (DX9 and X-Trans) I wish they had integrated more purple translucent details in the torso and pelvis to continue the illusion that Motormaster formed those parts, not just the trailer.

My takeaway from this review is that X-Transbots hates you and wants you to suffer.

XTransbots stuff seems to be concerned mostly with helping their customers get their frustration cardio in :D

This thing is a real mess to transform. LOL. I would always leave it in robot mode.

I only have two of the cars so far, and I know it is going to be a long road to finish him, but I can't wait. I'll have the new mainline version before this one, but this the dream to finish. Then let's see what the MP Combiners line release next and see if its better than what 3p already make. That Zeta Superion is so sexy as well.

feel bad for all the new collectors who didn't get the DX9 Menasor, the transformation on the trailer is a lot more enjoyable than this mess. It's a shame that getting Capone is the biggest challenge, I had to buy one from a Malaysian toy store, I'm not making that up. He arrived about a month and a half later. I am very satisfied with the choice, he scales well with my Zeta Bruticus. As of right now, the only choices new collectors have are XTB and Fanstoys when they get it finished, but even then the only places to get Fanstoys' Stunticons are on eBay or other sellers... Hopefully Fanstoys does some freaking reissues.

I don't see Takara ever doing a MP combiner set. Kudos to 3rd companies for taking on this challenge and market demand.
