To keep honest specs: Mahle X35 motor has 40NM Mahle X20 motor has 23NM both meassured at the hub! To mention 55NM for the X20 is a valued number in comparison to a middle motor, or as we say: a marketing trick 😅😉 Nevertheless, I tried the system in a Simplon Inissio and was very excited. Also, the quality if the parts and light weight is a tech-masterpiece and well done by Mahle💙

I really want this on ribbles ultra or there gravel bikes I got the x35 system on the sle but I'm looking for a gravel for winter tho the ultra with this system and gravel is back of the queue for sure dam it I will have to get both in the end

The X20 charger has an a maximum input of 100-240V and 2.5A

Its possible to update an ebike with the x35 with this new system?

Hello Francesco. Replacing the X35 with the X20 is not possible as they are completely different systems. Let us know if you have any other question.

1. Hi. What does "3.2kg Full System" actually mean? I see that "Pulsar one" is optional; "E-Shifters" are optional; "Range Extender" is optional; And what about the two batteries? Is one of them part of those "3.2kg"? Thanks

Hello Paolo and thank you for your question! 3,2kg includes the main components of the System (that include the battery), while leaving out optional components like the Range Extender e185, PulsarOne and eShifters.

Mahle, please explain how 23 Nm of torque is greater than the X35s, it does sound like a marketing gimmick. Also which bikes will we see it o in 2024?

Hi Ned! Thank you for your question, the 23 Nm of torque are measured compared to mid-drives , which is the industry standard. This results in 55 Nm of torque. Hai i am a design student from milan, we are designing a bike using X20 system, I would like to know the details of the small shaft inserted into the motor for fixing it to the dropouts. (Shown in the video 0:46s). It would be really helpful if anyone could provide that information. Thanks in advance.

What Mahle refuses to say is how it compares to their old X35 which has a 40Nm, while the X20 has a torque of 23Nm !!! Tried to have more clarity from Mahle but they keep avoid to answer with facts/numbers. Just be aware of that as they trying to sell less efficient motors as better ones...this is close to misleading the customer by lying to them concernkng power. They could just be honest and say that they have 2 different systems, one lighter with half the torque but smoother behavior(X20), and second one with higher power but less smooth (X35). BTW I'm sure that the numbers behind names relates directly to torque values of the models 😅
