They had that or Zen 6 I believe. It would be cool if they went with Nvidia and make a bigger push towards ray tracing and machine learning. They do list these features it would also give them an advantage over Sony I feel who more than likely will stick with AMD.

They didn't leak the next gen console having an ARM cpu. It's a possibility, and just as possible it will have an X86 chip. Hell maybe they'll swerve everyone and have an intel based SOC using their graphics.

That seems to be where things are going Microsoft is really pushing game pass and has talked about wanting game pass on the switch and even Playstation. Which would be great for the switches lifespan as you could then cloud stream games that you wouldn't be able to play otherwise

Microsoft is the clearly the lesser of the two evils when it comes to PlayStation/Xbox, I say that because they have CI tributes in so many ways to the gaming community as a whole, not their own product, additionally game-pass is phenomenal, truly one of the best in the gaming business! But keep in mind, all of this could change is some few years, give it time.

Yeah that's not going to happen. Company's want full control. An all digital Future would be bad, because they can jack up the prices and people will pay for it, because there's no competition. With Physical media people stores do compete with each other. I mean i can find Spider-Man 2 for as low 55 euro, that's a 25 euro difference vs the Playstation store. Yeah I kid you not. So at the end of the Day Nintendo still picked up quite a bit of the former studio. But these kinds of closures and acquisitions happen all the time. No company would be where it is if not for the acquisitions of studios.

This is what I never understand. I'm not what I would consider a fanboy of either. I've always bought both consoles going back to the original Playstation and the original Xbox. I currently own a series x and a ps5. As well as a switch and decent PC. I like having options. I like that if a game I'm interested in is releasing I can get it no matter what it may be exclusive to. That said I really only ever see such insane outbursts and just bad hypocrisy coming from the Sony only folks.

They are the most anti consumer company ever (even beyond nintendo) xbox is no saint but at least they seem to care a bit about the consumer with game pass and providing cheaper ways to play their games.

Some of those studios are support studios ie they are responsible for porting games to pc. Bluepoint did the demon souls remake because Japan studio are no more

How about actually looking up each of those studios and looking at what they are actually responsible for. Remakes. Remasters of playstation games and the porting of playstation games to pc. Technically Microsoft has been a video game company since the 80's (actually the first game was in 1979 with Adventure for the TSR80). This well before Sony and only a few years after Nintendo's first game in 1975 (EVR Race). They just haven't been a console game maker until 20 years later.

No. Don't misplace the hate. Sega is the reason the DC was their last console. They didn't just shoot themselves in foot. They stabbed themselves, had affairs without protection, shot themselves more then once, then refused to go to the hospital and started paying out hush money all the while spitting on the people that helped them get to where they got. Back then Sony changed the game and Sega adjust way to late. That's all it was. Half the devs that did not develop on the DC didn't need to be bought by Sony. They were already using their arcade hardware, had lower royalties and better business terms, worked loop holes in development contracts, didn't want to compete with Sega Sports, etc... The big ones that did them in was the lack of consumer confidence outside of Japan, and them burning retailers with the Saturn launch.
