On an unrelated note since you mentioned Black Ops, man I really miss BO3. Multiplayer was a mess but it was a really fun mess. I’d wish that CoD hadn’t overdone it with the futuristic games streak. It would be great to have a wackier CoD every now and then.

Either it launches like a dumpster fire and becomes good later or it's good and ubi finds a way to fuck it up. I renember when a game was good it stayed good and it was bad it stayed bad, now if I want to get into or return to a game I have to see how it is in 2024 instead of checking the review its a wild time in gaming.

@@danielgrezda3339 Im gonna counter that by saying that Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 was actually quite good, a solid 8/10. And the launch was perfectly fine, yes it had some bugs, but nothing game breaking or absurd, some kinks that some day 5 patch corrected

@@glockmat never said anything about watch dogs 2, that was fine. I'm more talking about rainbow 6 that they ruined and the division 2 that they fixed.

It all depends what team is left to deal with the game in the future. For Honor is in Montreal's hands and even though their team is small, they've done a decent job with maintaining the game for so long.

Half the reason The Crew was such a big shitshow at shutdown was because it was a paid game. Not a F2P live service one. So while I am all for holding their feet to the flame for that, it's not the same thing.

@@EQuake2290 That was the point I was making. Shutting this down wouldn't be as bad, since the entry barrier is non-existent. Of course, they would still have the money tied up in the cosmetic side, but personally I come from a time before all of the paid skins stuff started and refuse to participate in it to start with.

@@mauer-laufer4638 yeah...but if EA didn't have greedy out of touch idiots running their company, then they'd recognize that there's a big gap in the fps genre now that COD has fallen off, so instead of forcing Respawn to focus on the trash that is Apex Legends(even though it makes a lot of money, YOU CAN TELL that people aren't playing as much anymore and I wouldn't consider it as competition to COD since it's a BR) to instead make a good fps....but that'll probably never happen, after EA set up TF2 for failure with its launch date, and then is surprised it didn't do well. But like it probably wouldn't even be that hard to just finish the friggin game because there's still those months of work sitting around before it got canceled. Then again, if EA had their way with the game it'd probably be microtransaction hell. Honestly, the only reason Apex is playable is because they can't lock guns or abilities or whatever behind paywalls or EXTREME GRIND since it's a BR(like with Star Wars Battlefront). I just really want something like Titanfall or a sequel to it, because TF2 at this point after the TF3 craze isn't very fun anymore tbh. There isn't very many people left, and those that are still playing(I'm on XBOX so i can't use northstar sadly) are crazy sweats who are pretty much the fun police

Yep, playing objective, as it currently stands doesn't give you neither weapon XP, nor ultimate charge, which disincentivises team play and promotes selfish play style instead.

I'd bet there's other things in the matchmaking, but it might not take performance into account directly. Like, maybe after you've played for awhile, it only matches you up to players who've played a decent amount as well? That indirectly would ensure that there is at least some amount of skill and knowledge on the enemy team. I dunno how that might affect new players though and in all honesty it probably doesn't matter how it does either.
