he is still holding back in this fight. i mean he destroyed once a whole dragon clan but our heroes didnt get any injuries at all.

Well, staff is a part of Xellos being , so it is like directly being hit with his almost unmatched at this point in the series, power.

Well, he is the strongest demon, apart from the five direct subs of the demon king. Which is funny, because Lina actually beat the big one multiple times, but failed to actually beat Xellos. :D

​@Flapjackie She only beat parts of Ruby Eye though? If he was whole she might not have faired so well even with her considerable strength. With Xelloss has either of them ever truly fought with intention and not holding back in some way? Xelloss here was mostly goofing off and not serious and Lina had her plan in mind and also wasn't exactly serious beyond the need to let Xelloss think she was being serious. If the two ever did actually need to fight each other it would be an intense fight. While I think Xelloss would have a leg up on Lina just due to his age and experience I think Lina would win in the end. Though, maybe she wouldn't.. she did struggle with Gaav (as did Xelloss)!

@@AlottaBoulchit Yea. But even this Part is already more powerful than Xelllos. So i think this is just funny. And tbh the Gigaslave would kill the whole demon lord easily aswell since it is effectively the lord of nigjtmare itself.

@@Flapjackie If Lina was able to master the Gigaslave no one would be able to stand in her way ever for sure! Another reason why I think Lina could beat Xelloss in an actual real fight between the two is because Xelloss tends to be over-confident in his strength. Like he really thought he could take out Gaav all alone yet twice got himself whomped. lol

@@AlottaBoulchit Maybe. But I think he wouldnt be like that vs. her. Since he actually knows fully that she has multiple spells up her sleeve, that could hurt him very badly and she is a trickster in terms of fighting aswell. I think his typical overconfidence comes from the point of underestimating his opponents rather than overestimating his own strength (Idk if my point is clear^^) 🙂

3年前のコメントですが、tryまで関わっていたスレイヤーズ制作会社が無くなって、Revolutionから別の会社で作られたんですよね。だから、Revolutionの1話のドラグスレイブはそれまでのビームではなく火球のような出方してたり、微妙に違います。

...you know he's actually an enormous black tornado, right? Those black cone-like things he hurls at his opponents when he's serious? That's pieces of himself. His end goal is the destruction of the universe. I don't think that fits well with Lina's own desires.

To add to the fact, he sees Lina as an amusing distraction at best to a considerable threat at worst. He has no actual fondness for her, but respects her power. He'd also kill her in a second with a smile on his face if he needed to or his mistress commanded it, as by Lina herself in the novels and she's actually scared to death of him in spite of how casually she acts around him.

@maltese 84 Because he's a general of the mazoku side, and only after Lina a human being was able to destroy one of the Mazoku lords, that a mere human warranted any form of attention from a powerful being like that, and just to be clear this is a guy/being that wiped out an entire army of ancient dragons, and made it look like a walk in the park, safe to say that the majority of people and mazoku that know of him are terrified by his mere presence regardless of what form he takes and only people that don't know his true identity daring to disrespect him, the only exception being Lina's group, but you have to remember that Lina and the group act casual towards hin only because he permits them to, and doesn't mind interacting with them in the fake trickster priest form, mostly because it also amuses him, Xeloss is a ruthless being that for some reason also befriended Lina and company, but of course while being their ally he is also a mazoku and he won't go against his orders being given a choice between friendship and fulfilling his orders he would gladly chose the latter even if the order would be to kill Lina for which he would of course offer his sincere apology to her but would continue with the task , however since in this case he wasn't explicitly ordered to kill Lina and co and instead decided to use his friends as pawns to achieve his true orders he is actually willing to guarantee their safety (the guarantee is indicated in the fact that he still closed his eyes when fighting them indicating that he's not planning on killing them just scaring them into following his orders as he can only ensure that they come out unscathed if they do what he wants he needed them to do) Lina knows already how to read his behavior in fact he noted himself that she's able to do so and that's why she knows that in order for him to guarantee their safety she must stop interfering with whatever he is tasked to do and surrender herself and her party to him so he can complete his goal, and that there's no negotiating the matter with such powerful mazoku as he, also the fact that Xeloss is one of the Mazoku's greatest strategists, comes onto the fact and also he permitted Lina to let Pokota escape.

@maltese 84 Due to his nature as Mazoku, Xelloss is unable to betray his creator, in the end he is just a tool of powerful Mazoku lord, he doesn't feel any emotions, nor is expected to show any consideration for anything or anyone , the only reason Xeloss choses to protect life is because that's the philosophy of his creator and Xeloss with his entire dedication will enforce the will of his true Master and Creator, that is all regardless of attachment he forms to Lina, he only does what he was expected to do by his master and creator and is as human as his master needs him to be while still being a true and powerful Mazoku, there is no what if, Mazoku are beings that are created by the Lord of Nightmares they have only enough free will that is required for them to fulfill the tasks they were created for which is to bring the world back to the sea of Chaos , in this case Xeloss has enough free will to chose and act independently from his creator so he can implement the will of his creator at his own pace, and his own means, perhaps the reason he befriended Lina is because his master ordered him to observe humans and learn human way of thinking so he can have an advantage, but he isn't allowed to refuse the order of his creator, such a thing would be a blasphemy to him and something unworthy as to what is the goal of Lord of Nightmares it's currently unknown, and as such it is also unknown why Xeloss acts in the way he does, however everything he does is the manifestation of the will of whoever created him, of course there might also be the issue of chaos, originally the goal of Mazoku was to bring the world to nothingness to realise chaos, but apparently some of the Mazoku concluded that a void is in fact quite orderly and a world of life is actually more chaotic hence the sea of chaos became an abstract concept to them realized in the sea of life, or simply preserving the chaotic world that formed, the whole war of Monsters end was literally fought over because of this, with one camp of Mazoku arguing that Sea of Chaos means void, while the camp to which Xeloss creators belongs argued that the Sea of Chaos refers to the Chaotic (noisy unpredictable at times violent) existence of mortal beings... But returning to your question Xeloss due to his nature as Mazoku is unable to disobey the orders of the being which created him,that thought wouldn't even occur to him.

You have an odd conception of canon. All five seasons are canon to each other as far as the anime is concerned. Try, Revolution and Evolution-R don't exist in the light novels, but their plots were still supervised and written by Kanzaka himself. Revolution even references TRY.

@@Chrno34 I was amused to get a reply to an 11 year old comment! LOL Though I just have to say that I wasn't the one playing with the canon, that was another poster. His Magic power wasn't as powerfull as Lina that's it

We never got to see what happens with Shamanistic magic with an enhanced bucket capacity so it looks useless. Ragna Blade and above spells are impossible for a human to cast without the talismans or philosopher stone so presumably there could be higher spells than Ra Tilt that the cast can't use. Actually a lot of magic in Slayers was never explained. Like how Seillune's barrier worked and why that wasn't applied to offensive spells.

What about lina with giga ?

mxtth3w lina can’t use giga without standing there for like five minutes charging up and channeling,

@@meachew fuck giga, the sword of chaos , ragna blade can finish him instantly. I honestly thought she would use it here to show xellos true raw POWER.

@@andreeamanoliu4583 she can’t use any of those spells without channeling, and xellos wouldn’t give her that time, by the time Lina finishes, he would have either took her out or went a million miles away, the only non demon lord characters we known of that can beat xellos officially is Luna,

Ragna blade won't work anymore. All the Ragna spells were tied to Hellmaster, and his soul was ripped into pieces. None of those spells work anymore.

Lagna blade is tied to the Lord of nightmares.

With enought prep time the team can kill xellos. But i dont think she could do it alone.

@@indrayatbhakta2943 Langa blade is chaos magic. That's why it's a spell she can wield, even during that time of the month, were she can barely cast a flare arrow. Her ability to wield it is possibly why the Lord of Nightmares shows her any kind of favor.
