I loved reading requies cat's comments on lpdu about how Xeems butchered the rotation but just got extremely crit lucky (yes crit rng plays a big part). He was quite salty about being relegated to rank 3 warrior. A Xeems, with significantly less top clears who probably didn't even theorycraft his rotation took the rank 1 spot from some guys who have literally been doing top almost every single day for the past year, it's amazing. Not saying he played better than them or anything as of course crit rng plays a huge role, but the saltiness just made it so much more enjoyable for me.

Parsing for No.1 is kinda cursed, notice how all other DPS were shit? They have to intentionally sandbag for the one looking to pase to be good, else they kill everything too fast and buff dont align and nobody does well. Not only that but you have to have good rng for crits and a consistent group that can kill on command and not choke. That being said you also have to be amazing, Xeno is obviously a tier above any normal player as he is one of the few players who are able to content for world first. Tbh if you are a regular player, be happy if you clear and enjoy your shiny weapon. That's what I did.

the next instance of tank damage is just going to be invulned, and the one after that is long enough after pull start that all cooldowns are back up

By the time he needs them again, he'll have them back, while Vengeance in particular deals damage so not using it is just a waste.

@@Gturn66 That was probably dungeon mitigation advice. You generally don't want to use both at the same time because you won't have any big mitigation for the next trash pull.

2.5, but it imo it doesnt matter. I should have around 2.48 cuz there are three instances throughout the fight where I miss a gcd barely. I mostly have 2.5 because im tired of messing around with sks when gcd doesnt really matter anymore because everything is full uptime.

"It's just crit RNG" Partially, for up to a few percentile variance, yes. But the BLM that Arthars' was following the logs of has cleared >20 times and is purple basically every time. Crit RNG helps but it's not going to turn those greys into purple+, he's messing up somewhere lol.

Crit only matters for 98-100% in XIV. Anyone getting 100% would have been 99% with worse crit rng.
