In short, it’s extremely cheap the Mi Home Security Camera 360° 2K from Xiaomi and has a lot of features for the price: amzn.to/48YHn7s or s.click.aliexp...
The possibility to pan and tilt the security camera comes in super handy to take in a full 360-degree view of a room. Motion detection is a little weak and therefore it’s better to place it somewhere to have a full view of the room instead, making this a better choice for manual monitoring. We’re using it not stop as a baby monitor while we’re at and away from home and didn’t encounter any issues that stresses us. It works so flawlessly, that when the dog stays at home, we unplug, move and plug it in again and works without any hiccups.

Not at all. You can use data and you can still access the webcam's platform easily and fast. it uses the Mijia/Mi Home phone app which can be accessed even through a VPN (that's important for me since I live in China). It's very safe and user friendly. @@sierra0000

If your intention is to record it and playback afterwards I strongly suggest you go for others . The playback always have problem . It’s more for viewing on the spot .

of course as always im gonna check out several videos, but some questions could be. how long is the power cord ? can it use batteries? can you control the rotation remotely with the app? does it connect to 5g or 2.4 g only ? can you use it to send you notification on any sound like dork barking ? etc ..

Great video. Thank you. What do you think about using it as a temporary video door bell? For example, if you are away for a weekend (not during winter), how quick is the notification if someone comes to the door?

I regretted buying it. It works fine if you're on the same home wifi network. But if you're outside and want to view the live camera stream on your phone using your mobile data, it just won't connect or work at all. I've tried various troubleshooting like deleting pairing, uninstalling and reinstalling Mi Home app, then updating it to the server to "Mainland China", and yet it only works on wifi (same network) but will never work on mobile data. My worst buy from Xiaomi. 👎

What annoys me about the xiaomi cams is that I can't pickup the mp4 stream with other software. The mi home app often has problems with the cameras so I'd like to use my own software with the cam. Another annoyance is that the Google home, cast to TV or nest hub features never seem to work.

The worst feature about this Camera it DOESN'T connect with any smart home platform ❌Google Home, Samsung Smartthing, Smart life, Amazon... etc It's not useful in smart automation at all ❌❌❌

avoid. Only connects to 2.4 ghz. And when it loses connection it goes into a loop waiting for connection. Had to take 3 times back and had it replaced. Cheap but useless
