I got mine in the mail a couple days ago, and really fell in love with it, but the first time I tested out the pocket clip and carried it in my pocket and even drove my truck, I had no problem until I tried to take it out of my pocket to show it to my sister, and for some reason it went off in my pocket as I was pulling it out! I still haven’t figured out what I did wrong, but when I pulled it out, it went off and I felt the sting of the blade! Luckily, because I was pulling it out at the same time, that as the blade ejected it only left a gash of about 1/8 X 3/8 of an inch wide! I was very lucky that it didn’t hit any vein, and I had very little blood coming out so a Band-Aid with a little medicine was all I needed. I still love the knife, it feels great in the hand and it’s like a 3.6 inch light saber from Star Wars! I don’t know about others, but mine has a spring in it that is so strong, and it snaps louder than any other knife I have ever owned and I’ve had a lot of knives! I’ve owned OTF’s before, but this is my first single action! I’m am now a little gun/knife shy, but the only time I seemed in any danger was when I actually went to pull it out of my pocket, so the problem may have been me! The pocket clip is very tight on my jeans, and that could have been part of the problem. If I learned anything from this experience is that you should never play quick draw with this knife! (note: I was not playing Quickdraw when this happened, but it was very tight with the pocket clip) One thing I noticed in your video, is that yours had a warning label, but mine did not! It had the same kind of little plastic bag, but no warning label! The only warning I found was on the box on the inside of the lid, where it says, caution, sharp edge. All I know for sure, until I figure out what I did wrong, I’ll be handling this knife with extreme caution every time I go removing it from my pocket!

Mine is the hardest firing OTF I have ever had with the tightest lockup (outside of the deadlock)

I know this is a random comment for a video that’s not Strider related. But I have an idea for a video that might be interesting. I’m curious is it possible to switch strider blades with other striper handles and it not turn out absolutely terrible. Have you ever tried it? And if not, might be an interesting experiment I know that’s a video I’d like to watch :-)

That might be interesting indeed, unfortinattly I only have one Strider right now. I would imagine that as long as it's new production to new production or old to old they would swap

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I have some striders but they’re not similar enough models for me to be able to try it out. It really makes me wonder though because I see so many customs that I think to myself I’d love to see that blade on that handle Etc.. one of your videos, though you said the geometry slightly different for the customs versus the production knives so it probably wouldn’t work swapping the blades out on customs versus production even if they’re new, correct?

5:05 That's because they don't have to teach men the probably way to hold the knife!! 😂 As far as the HRC, there's a video on KZfaq that's about 90 minutes long that does an in depth tour of Heretic Knives from a few years ago. I don't know if they were using S35VN or Elmax at that time, but they were running their HRC around 60-62 with those blades. Not sure hard they're going with Magnacut. If I had to buy a single action OTF, this would be it, but there's too many knives and not enough money before I'd get interested in one.
