XP Go Terrain Quick Tip: Auto vs Push and Syncing Your Deus 2 - BEWARE!

XP Released the long awaiting Go Terrain app for the iPhone and Android phones. The app itself its really cool. It works well but there is a slight problem and if you don't know this, you may find yourself spending wasted time, trying to get the app to sync up with your Deus 2. BEWARE this is one of those things you need to know before you begin to use the app. I'll go over it in detail in the video.

Hey Scott, great videos all around! Thanks for your tips!!! I just have a quick question if you don’t mind… Can we just use the Go Terrian without paying a subscription fee? Are there major benefits with a subscription?

I think the subscription is yearly and don't buy the most expensive one if you do its more for overseas. I can't say what you get for free vs buying the subscription. I bought it and its been ok for the most part. Depending on my phone signal it tends to jump around a bit on plotting.

does having this sync to the app kill any of the battery life on the coil or receiver ? thanks for the video

Hello. I must disagree with the opinion that it is not possible to synchronize the detector with the application if the PUSH option is selected in the panel, just exit the menu, hold down the MENU button and wave the coil over the target. In fact, if you do not exit the menu, it will not connect, but when you exit the menu, it will synchronize. Regards

Thanks for the comment. That doesn't work for me. It will never find my machine unless I'm in auto mode. I've tried it numerous times, even the manual tells you to be in Auto mode. But maybe there is a glitch or something. Per the manual. Click on Search DEUS/ORX: Check that your XP Detector is in GO TERRAIN *AUTO* mode Sweep a target in front of the disc at least three times in five seconds. GO TERRAIN then has to suggest the number of the disc with which to pair. Click on the serial number of the disc and you will then be paired.
