I would definitely say that your solder gun sounds a little weak. I think the best thing to have is a solder station that has an adjustable temperature adjustment . I have one but it’s pretty old, I think it was made in 1985. It works though, I turn it up all the way which is around 875 degrees, I get nice clean shiny joints from it but it takes a long time to achieve them, not like Ty here, his setup is quick. It would be nice to upgrade from what I have but I don’t really have the money to spend on a new one right now
