Ray, if you feel like traveling, head down to Texas Plinking and shoot the 1k yd challenge. Should be cake for you. Get you 1 of his gold medals. Maybe have an S.C. vs TX. friendly competition. I'm commenting while watching.

Ray...I love that Jamie 'fessed up at the end...just brilliant! Who hasn't done something like like. Went hunting 41/2 hours drive dragging a jetboat, get to the river and my friend had left the key at home. Managed to start the jetboat, he goes to get his rifle and he left his bolt at home! Hllarious! We don't call him Mr Magoo for nothing! I've forgotten stuff too so seeing Jamie own up is just brilliant! Great video and adaptation using the phone and spotting scope. Love your videos...keep 'em coming! Cheers from NZ.

Great idea and Great execution! My AI AT-X in 6.5CM can't come quickly enough, but when it arrives I plan to set a similar regular challenge at 500m down here in NZ. Q. Why 500m? A. Because that is what I have available.

Speaking of wind down here in Charleston I’m getting from left in one field from right in another field cause each cut is 500 yards across then shooting thru the tree line I cleared. I would enjoy seeing how you handle the wind on a cross section cut one day if you’re ever up for it. Just bush hogged out to 1760 now.
@XRING4 ай бұрын
Really take the time to learn how to look at the mirage at varying distances to the target. You will need great glass for that. 👍🏼

@@XRING running a mpr with mark 5 hd 7-35 pr2 reticle in 300wm. The only problem is I see cross winds from 300 to 800 yards and it’s like a vortex tornado situation. As soon as I see it stop or boil to change it will shift as bullet fly’s

@Ashley-wm7ix4 ай бұрын
Amazing! Is it possible to achieve this with a budget scope like the Arken EP-5 you reviewed?
@XRING4 ай бұрын
Yes, you can. However, the limiting factory is going to be reading the mirage. While you can see mirage in the Arken you won’t be able to read the mirage as clearly. There is no doubt we could have done this with those rifles using Arkens. However, seeing the splashes and the mirage would make it more difficult.

Your target looks way bigger than the one T.P uses, No spectators, no stress, just saying.
@XRING4 ай бұрын
Spectators and stress would absolutely make a difference. I also agree that 10” squares are also slightly larger than 10” circles because of the corners. These aren’t my targets and access to the 1k line isn’t allowed at the Clinton House. Either way, it’s the best we could show. We also induced stress by running up the stairs and didn’t take 5 mins to take the first shot. 👍🏼

Efficiency of motion does make the target drop... While staying upright 👹 the quick and the dead... That was a beautiful display of shooting. Terrible videography but that part didn't matter at all. Funny!

LOL! I appreciate the comment. I didn’t go with the intention of doing a video so I didn’t have any of the necessary gear. Doing videos can be a real chore some days. Especially for a smaller channel like mine.
