Look's wekk designed. You've done a great job at demonstrating how it performs. This is a real game changer and definately helps me to know that the S1 is the best choice available from all diode lasers. It does so much and seems easy to operate. I have watched many videos and I have made my descision! I gotta get one of these!!!! Thanks

I would love to use it for bigger, longer signs and eventually for leather when I get it figured out. Expensive material to experiment with. Love what you do. I too live with a disability as I only have one functioning eye. You're an inspiration.

Was totally expecting the engraving on that board to be all over the place. Shame it didn’t cut all the way through. I think the P2 conveyor costs around the same for the complete kit. Great video like always 👍

*Great demonstration John, thanks!* I think I'll stick to print & cut for now with the LaserMATIC, since it has the largest dual passthrough at 1" tall x 17" wide. They also have a conveyor in R&D but are trying to get to work more accurately with multiple pass options.
@TripodsGarage

Thanks! Yeah, I really didn’t expect it to work with multiple passes. There is no guide fence to help keep the workpiece from walking. You would need something like pinch rollers for the sides. I really didn’t expect the letters to come out, but everything did. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

Very cool system and thanks for the vid. I wonder if the conveyer can be used to make bigger jigs for batch processing but with just 1/2" it would be a thin jig for sure.

Great video! My new S1 came in two weeks ago and I've been using it like crazy. I've made over 40 cut/engrave projects on Creative Space and I'm learning quickly. I'm not sure I'll develop a use for the conveyor feeder, but I do plan on getting a riser base sometime soon. I'd love to enter your drawing. What would I use it for? I think it will be perfect for engraving small wood items I machine on my small CNC router, and then decorate on my S1. Without the riser base, I can't fit in some of the items from my CNC. The extra clearance is something I'll definitely use. Thanks!

Good video. I am getting close to purchasing one of these 40W lasers. I would use the conveyor for some signage, however, I really want to figure out how to use it for cutting thick paper material, cork, and rubber which are non rigid. Do you think it would work? Also, I would love to see you run some cutouts on thin cork material and different laser safe rubbers. I don't think I have seen any other 40W diode laser videos on this.

Great vid. I was wondering if the system was repeatable. That offset on pass 2 was likely the material walking to the side and/or the motor missing steps along the way. For thick stock it's a shame the 2nd pass didn't hit the mark. Agree that 1/2" is restrictive. It might be the reasonable cut thickness, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't want to sometime just engrave a long board that's thicker. 🤦
@TripodsGarage
@TripodsGarage 5 ай бұрын
Yeah, the board definitely walked. I should have noted that it would benefit from side rails (fence) to help prevent that. 1/2 in is pretty thick material, depending on the material 1/2 on a softer wood would be the max on one pass. However, would be nice to also have the option to engrave 3/4 to 1in material. Either way I did come away pretty impressed with this conveyor system.

Great job on the video 👍 I would use it for porch leaners and long signs. Im guessing you couldn't use it for a tray of materials? Thinking of using it to batch out engraving a bunch of slate products, more than the S1 could do in one run otherwise.

My question is about the tabs. How do you figure out how many you need! My first time using the conveyor and the middle of my D cut out completely, fell down inside the laser and then interrupted the board as it was being pushed under the laser. Had to hit the emergency stop button and wasted my board. I'm assuming tabs would have helped after watching your video but I'd like more info on that if possible. Thanks so much for the most comprehensive video on this that I've been able to find!

I would use riser to do panels for my granddaughters treehouse if your giveaway is still going on. I have the S1 but need riser base to do deeper jobs. I have conveyer but need more room to use.

I want to use the conveyor for making "growth" boards for kids. I can see how this would be easier engraving the numbers, lines, etc. I currently use a CNC router and having to move and align the growth stick every two feet. I really do like this machine.

@TripodsGarage

Unfortunately that wouldn't solve the problem. The mount on the riser will need to be changed, and how the conveyor mounts would also need to be changed. Thanks for the compliment, truly appreciated 😃

A system that solves problems for someone who wants to handle longer material. Like bigger 3D printer beds, not needed by all, but very useful for some. How is the temp in your garage? I have my laser in my unheated garage and it is now below 0.
@TripodsGarage
@TripodsGarage 5 ай бұрын
Yeah, it worked great on the longer materials. Just would like for it to handle thicker materials. The garage was at 36deg, now with the space heater on, it is a balmy 39deg 😆

You want to burn through wood on one pass. Laser cuts wood by burning it thus creating charcoal around the cut which burns much slower and will resist being cut on a second pass. It's kinda like building a fire in the forest. You'll get a nice big fire using a pile of wood which burns quickly, but once it burns up to coal and ash you don't get much more flame out of it. Same concept applies here, the laser just isn't going to cut through the already burned edges like it does though fresh wood. With other materials like acrylic a second pass can be used (adjusting your laser depth of course) because it's melting the plastic instead of burning it, but you'll have limited success trying to cut through wood with multiple passes. 10:00

@@TripodsGarage Understandable. I am surprised more manufacturers don't have similar auto-feeding systems - especially with diode lasers getting up into 40W+ ranges nowadays. Being able to engrave/cut long pieces of material is a HUGE benefit to some people (like me) who come from the CNC world.
@CleverLittleMaker
@CleverLittleMaker 2 ай бұрын
@@TripodsGarage Oh, one other thing - thank you for pointing me to the upcoming WeCreat Vision Conveyor. I noticed in their marketing that they claim it will be cross compatible with "most other laser cutters". If this is true, it would be a huge benefit for me (since I already have a laser cutter in mind which is not a Wecreat laser nor is it an xTool laser).
@TripodsGarage

You complained about the riser base being sold separately from the conveyor system. That’s because the riser base can be used for other purposes. Could the riser base with the conveyor be sold as a package at reduced price? That would make sense.

You are correct, my complaint is just that. There should be a package deal discount. I should have explained my complaint better. Otherwise, performance, I was actually surprised how well it worked. you should do some research sure you can do up to 118" but not unless you purchase a set of rails after the all in one kit which would be $639 + $129 not just $419

Never said the included rails can do 118”. Plus you do not need to purchase the additional rails, when a couple of roller stands can do it for far less money.
