Wheein is the golden child of mamamoo. Multi talented and I think we still haven’t seen anything from her. It’s insane how much talent this one group holds. All members are just solo artist that makes one all star team called mamamoo. When I started to like mamamoo I was so lost over who my bias was. I switched all te time. It was always: hwasa > moonbyul > hwasa > Solar > moonbyul > hwasa again. Until I watched a few covers of Wheein and began to watch there MMMTV content. Since than I is Wheein. The saying once you whee IN you can’t Whee OUT is completely true for me.

Idk...I really love people who don't fit into a box and that's Wheein for me. It's so tough in Mamamoo to have a bias--they're all four so special and standout. Wheein and Hwasa were friends from middle school and also auditioned together and moved to Seoul together from Jeonju and ended up both getting into RBW (Mamamoo's agency). Solar joined after them. And Moonbyul joined the agency last but i think like within a month or so of Solar joining. Hey, I wanna tell you about the drinking manner in Korea as you mentioned. It doesn't really matter who drinks first, we mostly drink at the same time. There are two things you better know when drinking in Korea. First, they normally don't like to pour themselves. It would be better to pour the other's glass if it is empty. They think it is a way to show your feeling that 'I am taking care of you'. Second, turn your head right or left to drink up when you are in a meeting with those group of people like your boss, clients, or parents in law. You can catch some examples from Korean TV shows or movies.

The point about her speaking voice is a very astute observation. Since what a lot people don't notice is actually her low range, which is not showcased in this video at all. But she probably has some of the most stable low-ranges in the group. People don't hear it as often because those parts tend to go to Hwasa or Moonbyul (Who also kill the low ranges). But there are many times where she gets supporting low harmonies, or just in general sings a lower verse. Keep an ear out and you'll hear it.

Drinking etiquette that you mentioned applies for formal settings. Not only do you have to wait for the eldest to drink first, the youngest is expected to pour drinks and grill the meat. However, like I mentioned, it's only applicable to formal settings. Among friends or people groups where informality is established (as in where the older age group people ask the young ones to be comfortable) there are no such rules. Age and seniority plays a big role in Korea.

really didn't expect to see this today since you have exams, but at the same time i totally understand... there's just something about these women that makes you want to binge-watch everything about them. i swear there should be a warning label on them on the memory thing... wheein really can memorize up to 30 words and recite them back in order, though it's a bit tricky when those words are names (as seen in an episode of 'weekly idol') drinking-wise, solar is very much the group lightweight, though hwasa isn't terribly far behind. solar doesn't actually like the taste of alcohol, though, while hwasa does. moonbyul and wheein can both drink a lot, though byul seems to prefer beer while wheein enjoys soju or liquors none of the members are anywhere near fluent in english, though solar and wheein seem to know the most. solar tends to stick with shorter words and phrases, but she uses them a lot. (she also had been taking lessons from an english speaker, several episodes up on her yt channel). while wheein uses bigger words and longer phrases...usually. lately it seems she's been the 'official' english speaker for the group when they win awards, to hilarious effectsince her acceptance speeches this year have both basically been "thank you! i love you!". but at the kcontacts this year she actually had some pretty long sentences with lots of sizeable words, such as "how are you holding up with the covid-19 pandemic situation?" . also, as shown in this video, she tends to have the best pronunciation... except when she doesn't (usually she's goofing around when she mispronounces things, but not always. it always sounds utterly adorable, though. that pretty much goes for all four of the girls, though) wheein really does get noticed by the artists she loves, it's crazy. sadly, so far nothing has come of any of them, but many are really hoping to see tracks in her upcoming album that are produced by code kunst and the stereotypes, both of which saw her covers of stuff they'd done and have mentioned they'd be up for working with her and yeah, one of wheein's nicknames is 'wheepup' or 'pupwhee'. each member is associated with at least one animal and those emojis are frequently used to show who's speaking, esp on twitter translations. solar is usually a rabbit, though sometimes a dragon (because 'yong' can mean 'dragon'), moonbyul is a hamster (emoji is usually mouse, meant to be hamster), wheein is a dog/puppy, hwasa is a lion oh, and a crazy thing about wheein's voice (which itself is just absolutely crazy. i swear the girl is magical)... if you lower her pitch slightly when she sings, she sounds just like moonbyul. and when you raise byul's pitch by the same amount she sounds almost exactly like wheein. some fan stumbled across this a while back and ever since people have uploaded pitch-adjusted versions of their solo songs so they sound like each other also, while all of mamamoo have some great laughs, there's just something about wheein's... i can listen to just her laughing for ridiculously long periods of time...and have done so, with a few videos on loop... i swear, her singing voice and her laugh will both heal any emotional pain in different ways. figured i'd mention that just because of how much you started grinning along with her there at the end when hwasa's car was pulling up (that was behind the scenes for the mv shoot for wheein's solo debut, "easy", btw)
