Күн бұрын這次想簡單分享一下我之前在酒店工作的經歷，很難得地參與到酒店開幕前的準備工作，一切對於那時的我來說都十分新鮮。當中遇上的困難其實也沒有很多，亦非常慶幸在英國的第一份工作是這樣的輕鬆，遇上很多友善的同事和客人，希望大家也能在英國職場上順順利利！
I'm here to share with you my experience working in a hotel in the UK. It's all very new to me. Having the chance to be a part of the team before the hotel actually opened did give me a memorable time. I would say I did not come across too many difficulties with this job first I had in the UK. I'm also very grateful to have met colleagues and customers from all around the world that treated me nicely. It was such a good start of my career here. Sincerely hope that you all can be able to do something you like and make it your career!

When did you start working in the hotel? Do you think there's still a chance the industry will be hiring under the pandemic? Also a Hker who will be moving to the UK and studied hospitality

I started working at the hotel in Jan 2020. The pandemic situation is still quite serious here in the UK but as you can see they are relaxing the restrictions on 19 Jul, so I would hope that it will start to get better. The hotel I worked at actually started hiring people back as part-time in Jun, preparing to reopen. However I’m not quite optimistic about them hiring extra staff until the tourism industry bounces back, which we might not see until later next year. Of course, you don’t have to limit yourself in applying jobs at hotels. There’re tons of opportunities in other industries where your talent is needed. If you don’t mind starting somewhere else and slowly work your way back to hospitality, I’m sure you’ll be fine here in the UK! Best of luck🤞🏽

People who call up a hotel most likely already have a booking. If you dont get their name. Ask for their booking reference or check in date to narrow down who it can be. If its just some random person calling up with no booking. Who cares if u get name wrong. Just pretend they never called lol

Even if they don’t have a booking with us, we still try to provide our best customer service😅

尋找工作的話可以參考一下我之前的影片 - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLhxntV70KiwhJ8.html 至於工資，可以上網搜尋一下你想做的工種和職位，看看大概的英國年薪是多少。我自己覺得，以兩個人去負擔£1600支出來說，其實真的不困難，簡簡單單一份全職工作其實已經足夠負擔支出，還可以儲到錢。

英國工作的平均年薪可以在Google上搜尋到，因不同公司和職位年薪差異很大，很難給你一個實際的數字🙇🏽♀️

真係有啊，雖然我本身喺香港做左四年嗰份工，都有八成時間係講英文，但嚟到呢個全英文既環境，真係會推動到自己把握機會練習用英文同所有人溝通，同埋會學多左好多呢邊既人既用詞同俚語，感覺講英文時比以前花少左力氣🙆🏽♀️

當時lockdown酒店被迫要關門，我地就變左”furlough”，即係仲係受聘中但唔需要返工，英國政府資助僱主，每個月都出八成人工比我地，直至最後公司捱唔住破左產，我地就被遣散左。
