(Not so) Fun fact: The insults Gyutarou gave to Tanjiro at the start of last episode were the same he received as a kid. He was insulted on the lowest point of his life so he gave the same insults to Tanjiro when he was in his lowest.

It's crazy how the world treated Gyuutaro as a demon until he became one, and physically one later. Such a great character with an unfortunate past.

Nezuko's flames don't inherently heal, their effect is that they're harmless to humans but burn demons, so she was able to burn away the demon poison inside Inosuke's and Uzui's bodies

I found it interesting that Gyutaro said "over one measly eyeball" to the samurai he killed, and he ended up giving one of his eyes to his sister. Idk if that was an intentional connection, but it's kind of cool

Ume's hairpin hurt the samurai's eyes because he spoke badly about her brother. It's sad that Gyutaro didn't know that and thought it was because he couldn't raise his sister well.

Nezuko carrying her brother was so wonderful. Finally, Tanjiro's back got a rest after carrying his sister for 2 Seasons and Movie.

For those looking for clarification: their mother died from complications due to untreated syphilis, which was also known by the name "Ume" back in that period of Japan (300 years prior to Taisho, where the story takes place).

Tanjiro is so happy that he was useful against the upper moon this time around. After what happened to Rengoku he didn’t want more people dying on him. I know Akaza and Gyutaro have a huge difference in power but even then, Tanjiro actually made progress.

throughout the whole season, its crazy how we got so many parallels between these two siblings: - Daki riding on Gyuutaro's back was a parallel to Nezuko riding on Tanjiro's back on the very first episode. - Gyuutaro was away for work when Daki got burned alive, Tanjiro was away for work when Nezuko and other family members were slaughtered - Gyuutaro and Daki having Douma (former UM 6) as their saviour while Tanjiro and Nezuko have Giyuu, a demon slayer as their saviour. - Gyuutaro and Daki were hated by everyone in the district meanwhile Tanjiro and Nezuko were loved by the townspeople. - Douma finding Gyuutaro and Daki on a snowy night while Giyuu found Tanjiro and Nezuko on a snowy day. Its still crazy how they could've ended up on both situations. Their whole world took turns once their saviours, whether a demon or a Hashira showed up. The right path and the dark path. Anyways, season 2 was a ride! They didn't animate a certain scene which was a let-down but I'm glad it will be on the announced Season 3 coming! It's gonna be so good! Great reaction as always

I really like how Douma's va captured his phony kindness. It's a great choice to have Miyano Mamoru voice Douma!

I like that the show keeps reminding us that Demons are also victim without ignoring the fact that they need to be killed. And I think Tanjiro as a MC represents this idea so well, because he is the most empathetic character in the show but that doesn't stop him from being a really good demon slayer.

Fun Fact: Someone said this in another video, but when Daki and Gyutaro were in purgatory, that “light” that was behind Daki was her permission to enter heaven, because she wasn’t given the choice to become a demon, she was forcibly turned, so her sins would have been forgiven had she not chosen to venture into hell with her brother Gyutaro.

I love Gyuutaro. In his upbringing, Daki was a liability and worth using, but he never abandoned her or used her. Humans are weak, and when they are oppressed they usually do not protect those weaker than themselves. Gyuutaro was never cared for or loved by anyone, but he found love from somewhere and gave it to his sister. Gyuutaro is strong and beautiful. I can see how much Daki loved him. I love this siblings.

I can’t believe this show somehow made me feel bad for the demons, even after everything that’s happened this season. The next arc is absolute madness, can’t wait to see it animated.

I dont know if they ever really explained it, but looking at every scene she uses it, you can tell what Nezuko's Blood Demon Art is. It basically only burns demons and their Blood Demon Arts. She can't really heal anyone with it, but just cancel out stuff like Gyuutaro's poison or Enmu's dreams

So Akaza’s voice actor really matches his personality from the manga. Gyutaro’s voice actor really matches his personality from the manga. And just hearing a few lines from Doma makes me really happy that all the upper moons voice actors will be casted well ! I maybe reaching here but I feel like Itachi’s voice actor with his very calm and collected tone would be a great fit for Kokushibo👀👀👀

The real-life Yoshiwara/Entertainment District was actually caught in an extensive fire in the same era that Demon Slayer is set. I think it's genius for the author/Ufotable to be this consistent with the history of Japan 😊

Douma is voiced by the one and only legend, Miyano Mamoru!! same voice as Dazai from BSD and Atsumu from Haikyuu and Light from Death Note. ❤️ majority of the fandom has always wanted him to voice Douma (that includes me), we literally got what we want!! 😭 i actually literally cried when i found out, like i was so shocked that he actually got the role and i was soo happy omg 🤧 can't wait for more Douma now!

Fun Fact: It was explained in a Data book that one of the reasons why Daki gouged the samurai’s eye was that he insulted Gyutaro. Also, it was obvious the Samurai was a customer trying to sleep with her (her clothes were ragged, there was a bed on the ground, the Samurai was in the room with just her, and the lady had said she would find another pretty girl and send her to the Samurai.) Likely was her first client (Said it was her 13th Birthday)

I think Gyutaro’s post beheading Blood Scythe attack is similar to when the Arrow Demon from S1 tried to Tanjiro after he was beheaded. Like a “I’m taking you with me” type attack. Another thing I just realized is that the way Ume/Daki was almost killed in her human life explains her intense reaction to getting burned by Nezuko. Even if she’d “forgotten” her human life, apparently that trauma stayed with her.

What I love about the demon backstories is that it makes you feel bad for them but it does not excuse what they have done. Tanjiro knows they are victims in their own right but they have committed unspeakable evil and have to be held accountable. Great and I think, Unique story telling!

Reason why Gyutaro wanted Ume to turn around was because she had a chance of going to Heaven because she wasn't the one who accepted becoming a demon, Gyutaro was always going to go to Hell. Ume decided against going to Heaven just to stay together with her big brother. Also methinks the snake guy's just full of it, despite being the weakest one, Muzan mentioned Daki had killed 6 Hashiras, so the other ones are naturally much worse than this.

Nezuko's Blood Demon Art burns demons and their Blood Demon Art. Also Nezuko can't burn normal poison, she was only able to burn Gyutaro's poison because it was part of his Blood Demon Art.

Damn Muzan seriously ended season 2 He was like : I gotta teach these uppermoon how to win so stay tuned

I've been watching anime since 2000. this was the first episode of any anime to make me cry. I actually was low-key weeping. when Daki admitted to saying those mean things to her brother because she didn't want to admit that she was weak and it was her fault for them losing. The dam broke T.T

I was having dinner and i nearly spat all over the screen when i saw that Vick Vaporub on Nezuko's hand, im dead LOL

A couple things to explain: It was stated earlier on that Nezuko's blood demon art ONLY burns demons. That's why when she uses it on tanjiro and humans, they don't get hurt, only demons do. (So no it does not heal people, and it can't fix the master. Remember episode 19, and the train.) 2. Daki/Ume stabbed him because the samurai was attempting to force himself onto her, as a 13 year old. She fought back, and gouged his eye out of course. 3. Daki is still a child, that's why she still cries and whines, and that's why her true form is still a child, her brother basically attached her soul to him as a demon, but she was still a child since that's the age she died as. 4. Daki was forgiven by whatever God they believe in, since she didn't choose to become a demon, and she could've gone to heaven. Gyutaro 100% could not, and he stated that if he was reborn again he would want to do the exact same thing, and kill those with better lives.

Spoilers for season 4 (possibly the last season of the show): Akaza’s backstory is going to destroy you. I never thought I would actually love the piece of shit who killed Rengoku. Akaza did not deserve any of the shit that happened to him. Seeing you guys getting sad from their backstory just makes me remember how it’s not even the saddest backstory in the series.

The demon with rainbow eyes is a perfect example of a demon and I can’t wait for y’all to see him in the last arcs

For future reference Nezuko does not heal wounds or sickness. She is essentially an anti-demon demon which is why her flames burn the silk from the the other spider demon, the poison and why daki had trouble healing from it. Kagaya has essentially a curse that members of his family will die young until Muzan is killed.

Miyano Mamoru is the PERFECT voice actor for Douma. It's legit the best casting choice Ufotable could've made.

Nezuko‘s Blood Demon Art basically just burnt the Demon Poison Blood away without hurting the human tissue around it.
