Yalcin I’ve commented this many times, but every time I see you do an Anjunadeep tutorial, I am filled with gratitude. I’ve been trying to emulate their sound since 2014, but with the help of your skills and wisdom, my productions are the best they’ve ever been. Thank you so much for what you do brother. ♥️

I really liked what you did with the drum layering - I read an article where Maya Jane Coles mentioned she does quite a bit of this - would love to see you attempt 'in the style of' one of her new tracks, they're also very layered, innovative and textured, and as yet I don't think anyone has done her justice! Would love to hear your take on it... 😝👍

Thanks again, Yalcin. I learned a massive amount from this video today. I've played Ben Bohmer's Cerle performance around 10 times this week. Absolutely breath-taking set, and filming! Seeing you asked for ideas for videos, I would love to see something on one of the genre's biggest names from the early 2000s. Guy J told me a few weeks ago that James was one of the artists that inspired him to make music, and that Horizons blew him away, as it did with me. One of his and my favourite tracks was Roland Klinkenberg - Inner Laugh (James Holden Remix) - From John Digween GU#19 Los Angeles - I think anything by James Holden would make a really good tutorial. James Holden - 'I have put out the light' & timo maas 'Better Make room' (James Holden Remix) 10101 & Lump are other greats, but there are too many to name! I would love to know how to create that deep techy, melodic sound that gave James that instantly recognisable trademark sound. People are still playing his tracks now, of course. 'The Wheel' was played by Digweed on his quattro mix CD, and tale of us recently featured a couple of his tracks on their essential mix. I'm lucky to say I heard all of those great tracks live in a club at the time, and honestly - James is from another planet. Incredible talent. Timeless tracks!

Havent opened Ableton since 2017 but man this video sparked my interest in production again. Thank you! I was producing Trance back in the day but the mixes were never release worthy but was always interested in deeper styles. I feel like deep house got too mainstream and every single track had annoying vocals on them. But listening to Anjunadeep exclusively for the past couple of years really fits my taste. Use vocals sparingly. Good example of right amount of vocals is "Ruh - Clay"

Hey Yalcin, great videos, thanks so much for the help. I have a question about using a gate after the verb. Is this something you cannot do with just the verb controls like decay? Is it because the decay is less gradual and more of a cut off with the gate?

Jesus christ, this was reaaaaally good, I never focused enough on these longer videos, but I did this time and I learned a lot, thank you Yalcin! I have a question for you, are instruments panned usually? Let's say I make anjunadeep stuff and stuff similar to CamelPhat, so arp, deep bass, background melody/arp and a pad. Do people usually pan these or just make them stereo? I know low bass is mono and I can experiment with stereo on the higher bass frequencies, but what about instruments? Thanks!

I think that the vocals probably are a result of processing the original track with Spleeter (Deezer's free AI) or one of the software that nowadays includes its technogy, Izotopes RX8 for example.

Hi Yalcin, excellent video as always! I've learnt a lot from this, brilliant. Please can you confirm one thing? So, you can utilise the room reverb by sending individual tracks to the room. Is this so that each of these sounds will all have the same reverb effect. Is this better than putting an individual reverb on each track? I suppose if you put different reverbs on different tracks , the reverb would be different for each one, and not all sound like they are in the same room?... I may have answered my own question there?... 😂😂
