Just my recommended heated grips for 2020 and installed onto my 2021 Yamaha Tenere 700. I have used many other brands over the years but I have come to enjoy the Oxford brand very much especially due to the special manufactured length for the Adventures bikes where no modifications are needed !
For the Yamaha models there is a connection within the factory harness that allows you to have your grips ran through the ignition and will be fused through its factory fuse box which is super convenient.
Oxford Premium adventure heated grips.

The grips have ergonomically engineered surface structures to optimize riding performance. Thicker rubber in areas of maximum wear, rhombus tread pattern for vibration absorption, 5² block tread patterns for high levels of grip and fee, diamond tread pattern where maximum grip is required and waffle matrix for finger grip.

5 heat settings
Battery saving mode
Switch technology
Rainproof switch
Draws under 4A
Cheers and enjoy.

A+ for Gorilla glue. Just apply it very thinly, a mist of water spray to activate it. After setting the surplus is really easy to remove with a blade.

Thanks for sharing these tips! May I ask: When you use the OEM 3-way connector cable and cut off the black connector you can remove the fuse from the grip's harness since the connector is already fused? Since it is a 3-way connector I assume there is a lead which you don't have to use? Any tips where to tidy all the connectors up? Your video already helped me a lot!

Which side of the bike, throttle side or clutch side, did you use to connect to the auxiliary power connector? I believe there are auxiliary power connectors on both sides... and I want to make sure to connect to the correct auxiliary plug... to make sure the Oxford heated grips get enough power. Also, by cutting the wiring on the Oxford grips, the fuse is removed from the system... because the fuse on the Oxford wiring is all the way at the end of the wiring... just a couple of inches from where the original Oxford wiring would attach to your battery. Any thoughts on that?

Were you able to remove the original grip from the throttle tube or did you have to buy a new tube? Thanks

I don't know why anyone would run Oxfords with the controller from the 1980s. Koso makes a much better option.
