This song takes my imagination on a happy walk with Jesus in the desert where he can refresh me. The melody makes me feel happy and carefree in his presence. I am away momentarily from my burdens and cares. I have never thought of the desert as a place to go for refreshment, but with Yeshua at my side, he is the stream of living water where my thirsty soul can drink and be refreshed. Doves do not have peripheral vision. They only see what's in front of them. I remember once, years ago, in prayer, I sat before Yeshua in prayer, and the scripture from Solomen came to mind, "How beautiful you are, my beloved, your eyes are of dove." So I meditated on only seeing Yeshua, our eyes only seeing each other's, like a dove, and then I saw my reflection in His eyes, the beauty he beheld, how he saw me, one created in His image and likeness. I will always remember that prayer time. And so this song of the dove flying to the desert for rest takes me to His divine presence there where he is waiting for me, for all of us, so we can be refreshed. That is how this beautiful and simple song affected me today.

Beautiful timing with all that is going on in Israel! Very peaceful. I get attacked by demons in my sleep...a time I want to rest and be at peace. It is like when I am at peace they cannot stand it. Still, I will cast my burden on the LORD and find rest in Him. Thank you for this beautiful song. 🙂

I always wondered how a Psalm would sound with stringed instruments when I read book of Psalms with an intro notes written “For the director of music, with stringed instruments. A maskil of David” and especially Psalm 55 which itself is so comforting as I trust in a prayer answering God. Thanks for this music Yaron! It’s very refreshing.
