This is the one who whom I declare a disbeliever, and the majority of the [Muslim] nation - and all praise is due to Allāh - are not like that. *As for fighting, then we do not fight anyone except in order to protect our lives and our sanctity.* We only fight as a reactionary response [to counter aggression], “And the recompense of evil is an evil like thereof” (42:40). Likewise,the one who openly reviled the religion of the Messenger after he came to know [of its reality]. And peace [be upon you]. Yes, you were right by saying this doesn’t apply to exceptional situations. Whether you follow Dr. Yasir Qadhi is your choice, but keep in mind that reasonability and leniency are involved with deen. There is such thing as drying down a religion as well as watering down a religion. Islam is supposed to be an easy religion. In my opinion, the even more misguided scholars are those who make the religion harder than it actually is.

@@breadzaatar0503 and there is no reason to follow Yasir Qadhi, there are so many people who are better and more knowledgeable than him. He we aren't supposed to be super lenient in the deen because leniency leads to misguidance, hence Yasir Qadhi being the example here.

You can choose to not listen to Yasir Qadhi, I personally have because even if he is not better than a bunch of scholars, he is still very experienced preacher who is very knowledgeable about the Quran and Sunnah. At the end of the day, I do not solely follow him and everyone has different opinions. We have to follow Allah (SWT) and his Messenger. Anybody can disagree with Yasir Qadhi, but at the end of the day, it is Allah (SWT)’s job to judge him. And we should be focusing on the major things not the little things. And the major things are teachings that provoke extremism, terrorism, violence, and hatred that are contrary to the Sunnah.

With the video, it was nitpicky in aspects. Some things said in this video are either not true or were just picked from a portion of video excluding the explanation of that claim. He never insulted Umar (RA), he was only stating a story about him. Also, he never endorsed splitting up the religion into sects. He only stated for us to join sects within the MAINSTREAM Islam. And mainstream Islam is the Islam that is based off the Quran and Sunnah. I know this because I literally listened to the lecture where he stated this. This is an example of what was said in this video was not true. Overall, as much as you disagree with Yasir Qadhi, the Prophet (SAW) also stated for us to avoid suspicion, as suspicion is the most false of stories. We cannot be making these claims that Yasir Qadhi is misguided based on inaccurate information.

No, you have to ask Allah to give you KNOWLEDGE and RECOGNITION of those who're misguided subhanallah. First of All, READ THE QURAN and THE SAHIH AHĀDĪTH from the Messenger of Allah saws., read SAHIH BUKHARI and SAHIH MUSLIM, that actually enough to not go astray subhanallah! Then read books about AQĪDAH from Imam Ahmad, Imam Shafi'i, Ibn Baz, then the books like: _AL-IBĀNAH 'AN USŪL AD-DIYĀNAH_ from Abu al-Hasan al-Ash'ari, who in his last stage of his life left his previous false beliefs in Aqidah and attributed himself to follow Imam Ahmad Al-`Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah Al-`Aqidah Al-Hamawiyyah Minhaj Al-Sunnah Majmu` Al-Fatawa Kitabu at-Tawhid Kashf ash-Shubuhat Thalathah al-Usul And you should BE THANKFUL to the one who uploaded this video, so you get to see the truth and the various KUFR statements from Yasir Qadhi.
