Mamiasi G, RIGHT?! THIS IS PRECISELY what transpired! We were legit all carefree and upbeat before watching her performance. Then, we heard the sincerity of her delivery and became IMMEDIATELY invested in the story she was telling! After you factor in her vocal range and technical ability on top of that, it really just becomes unfair lol. YEBBA is a living legend, as far as we're concerned! I’ve watched by now over 30+ reaction videos to this song and every time i feel like I’m listening to the song for the first time because I can’t get enough. I anticipate the viewers reaction on my favorite parts of the song just to see if they feel the song just as much as I do. (Runs, range, yelping, yodeling,etc) Great reaction video!

Yes Yebba grew up in Church and was heavily influenced by the Clark Sisters. She wrote and performed Evergreen for her Mother's tragic death. You must see.

I'm not kidding when I say I've seen every reaction on KZfaq to this song. You both are fun to listen to and the editing is fine. My advice to you guys, since you are a new channel, is don't be afraid to pause the video to react to things you find particularly amazing. It's better for us as watchers to enjoy what insights you have while paused, then to have you go back a little and continue playing. That way, you don't miss any of the song and you have room to breathe and take us on the journey with you. Very nice, you've gained a subscriber.

Yebba aka Abbey Smith, Yebba is Abbey spelled backwards, is coming into her own. She won a grammy along with PJ Morton for their collab on How Deep Is Your Love. 24-year-old Yebba Smith sang this in 2016 at Sofar venue NYC . I’m 60 years old & I listen to all genres of music rock, rap, heavy metal, CW, Punk, Grunge, Pop, Opera (Luciano Pavarotti), Folk, and in my opinion this performance by Yebba Smith is the most emotionally moving and greatest LIVE SOLO SINGING 🎤PERFORMANCE I’ve ever heard in my life 🙏🏽🙌🏽👏🏼💥💫🇫🇷

I would just like to add that this video was filmed shortly after her mother commit suicide. So she is this song with so much emotion towards her mother.

Actually Yebba’s mother had committed suicide a few days or weeks AFTER this performance (2016) 🎭 Her song ‘Evergreen’ performed with a choir in a church setting was filmed live in 2017 in memory of her mother. By the way Yebba was co-signed by Ed Sheeran’s label after he heard Yebba sing ‘My Mind’ (either he was there at that performance at Sofar NYC or he heard it on KZfaq but he said in an interview that he cried after her performance of ‘My Mind’

I know it's been a while since you've reacted to this but you're the first that I've heard compare her to the Clark Sisters. That was MY first reaction. Someone said she sounded like J Hud and that's okay but I disagree. The way she twists her notes inside the run reminds me of the Clark Sisters.
