Me and a buddy met Yela in person at a mall, but we had no clue who he was or why he was walking through Charlotte with an entourage 😂. They gave us one of his CDs (Trunk Muzik) and we played it on the way home thinking it was gonna be trash, but it was fire. We looked him up and had no clue we just met someone famous 😂😂😂 (In our defense, it was right as he was blowing up)

So funny you met him at a mall. In 2012 I lived in Melbourne FL and the Slumerican tour was going on. The night of the show me and my buddy were chilling at the mall before we drove over to the venue. I was walking through the hunting section at Dick's Sporting Goods which is attached to the mall. I turned down an aisle and there he was looking down the scope of a crossbow directly at me. I just stopped and stared like Holy shit. He moved the crossbow away from his face and looked confused that this random kid was staring at him. I didn't say hi or get a Pic with him bc he was with his boys and I didn't want to bother him. Fast forward to 2018 and I was in Detroit for a wedding. We were all walking down the street downtown Detroit and again there he was just walking down the street with his boy. I got a picture that time.

It's always a breath of fresh air to hear Killa Mike's voice, though. Sounh could have been better, but I'm not mad at it. Yela is a cool ass dude. I skateboard with him back in the day in my city of Atlanta... we've hung out at bars when his music career started to take flight. My wife and I are flying to Kansas City in July to see him and Prof perform... hoping I get the opportunity to catch up with him and chill. Love that you support the dude... I'm definitely a Stevie Knight fan.

It's crazy how killer Mike is it regarded as one of the best artist / Lyricist in hip Hop. The last album he did with the Andre Three stacks feature on it was phenomenal I really enjoyed it and still have it in my playlist. our boy Yellawolf has had features with some of the top artists in lyricist throughout his career and always has held his own
