Everyone complains about rap being the same these days, he takes it and changes it while maintaining raps traditional values and he nails if every single time. I just spent the past 1hour listening over /over to yelawolf music. He has come beyond far in his musicality. At this moment compared to what's in the mainstream, Yelawolf is flying under a radar while putting out Top grade A++++ music. His style is different from when I last listened to him as only a rapper. I believe his style has magnified since then.

Been listening to this guy ever since the Creek Water. Glad to see that he is still at it. Yela's music has transformed dramatically, he has interpreted Hip-Hop from every conceivable angle, as it seems. So many variations of sound (and, let's be honest, quality as well), he is not afraid to experiment at all and he just stays himself all the time. There is just something about him, maybe that South soul, maybe the rebel inside or maybe Catfish Billy just kicks in every now and then, but everything he does is done with flair, with his own tune, with his own style. I think Yelawolf is a great artist.
