21 months clean and sober. I laid the needle down 9 yrs ago and made my first long-term goal to see my son Graduate High School. We just had his Open House this past Saturday and they plan to have Graduation on the Football Field in July. I get to hug my son every day. He's a man now, but I can look him in the eye and my heart and motives are pure. If this junkie can get off the shit, so can you. Reach out for help. Work a program. Lean on your support system. Cut off those "friends" who would rather get fkd up with you than see you celebrate with your loved ones. Remember what's important. Just for Today.

This song is meaningful. Brings back what country should sound like. All country songs these days are about beer, girls, and trucks. Nothing meaningful like this. Now THIS is what country should sound like. Reminds me of Johnny Cash. I’m more into Hip Hop then country now days, but this song is the type of country I actually like. The type of country I used to listen to. I just wish more country singers would make songs like this.... It would get me into country again.

@@joshspace99 if you think that yela is even on the same playing field? You crazy. The dude has a couple good songs. He has not lived, nor experienced the life that led Cash to being one of the most influential artists hands down. I'm sorry man, but you 2 are both comparing dog shit to caviar. I'm not saying that he wasn't an influence of yelas, but he'll never be a Johnny Cash. And that really tarnishes the legacy Cash left behind, to have kids like you both calling yela the modern day Cash lol. I'd love to see yelas reaction to that comparison. He would probably agree with me.

@@spitty3456 First of all, I never compared yela to anyone, so please either read something twice before responding or don't respond at all if you don't really understand what's being said. Basically, I just said that anyone can consider any artist whatever they want, better or worse than a legend like Johnny. Yela will never be anything close to johnny cash because, newsflash, Yelawolf is quite the aggressive rapper, except for a couple of songs here and there. I don't think he is on the same "playfield" because this is not his genre at all. Have a nice day sir.

Lately I've been afraid of myself The closer that I get to rain The more I feel at home, the further I'm away And all that I feel is pain Count me, count me, call my name Don't leave me out the chain Crimson tears falling and my shirt is blood-stained And the devil's forever in my veins And the devil's forever in my veins The morning is across I’ve been, when I wake Am I asleep? Have I broken my faith? Down on my knees, can you hear me when I pray? Or am I a little too late? To count me, count me, call my name Don't leave me out the chain Crimson tears falling and my shirt is blood-stained 'Cause the devil's forever in my veins 'Cause the devil's forever in my veins Count me, count me, call my name Don't leave me out the chain These Crimson tears falling and my shirt is blood-stained And the devil's forever in my veins The devil's forever in my veins The devil's forever in my veins Songwriters: Michael Wayne Atha Devil in My Veins lyrics © Bug Music

Yes it is. Congratulations to your sobriety. I’m working on getting clean myself! It’s a hard thing to overcome when that’s all you know and made you happy in the process! Without putting a needle in arm life seems so plan without. I’m only 6 days clean from heroin and I’m going through hell. I tried praying but it don’t seem to work for me. Maybe it’s because I done so much harm to my loved ones. I hurt so many ppl in the process! I lost everything in the blink but my life. I really think I’m here to feel all the bad stuff I did to the ppl I hurt. Everything is coming to the surface. I never felt so alone and worthless. But anyway it always me feel good when other addicts beat this bad habit….. keep up the good work and congratulations again. Take care. I apologize for venting on your post

Hope I don't get hate on this but I think Lana Del Rey singing this with him would be one amazing duet. It just has her same old school classic vibe that never goes out of style. Timeless. Either way, I love the song and ALL the other songs on his new album as well. Good stuff.

I always felt that I came from *Outer Space* to *Change* the people on earth. I feel, as an *American You* are supposed to put down the *Whiskey in a Bottle* and release yourself from every *Ball and Chain* *Till It's Gone*. The *Devil in my Veins* is my *Best Friend*, but when I see my *Empty Bottles* on the table I suffer a feeling of *Heartbreak* because it reminds me of my *Tennessee Love*, me and her used to ride in my *Box Chevy 5* years ago we had the perfect *Love Story* One day as *Johnny Cash* played on the radio, I told her to *Have a great flight* and that she can do anything. She said *Sky's the Limit* kissed me and left. I watched her plane *Disappear* into the sky. You know, I think I'm going to ask my cousin to *Fiddle Me This* love song.

Definitely fight!!! I believe in your magic no matter who else does or doesn't. You are important and you are here with a purpose. It's ok to question things. Just don't feed into doubt. You belong here or you wouldn't be here. Keep on keepin on. 🖤💯🖤💯🖤. You are welcome to message if you ever feel a need to reach out for a completely unbiased opinion. Life is hard. But life is also not the reward for the faith and work put in here during those hard times. The reward is far greater than our wildest dreams could ever dream up. If you need a light to look towards when everything gets dark then look towards the promise/reward at the end of this time for each of us. Just know.

I really like when he does these southwestern songs. Sounds like it should be in a movie or Sons of Anarchy. He's brilliant, so talented!
