This 40 Min Step Aerobics Workout | Beginner Step Class Workout for seniors over 60 and beginners will improve heart health and balance, burn fat, increase strength, and tally up around 3600 steps more or less depending on your pace.
Safety is most important - the step you use should be sturdy and should not slide around. Also, it should be wide enough to enable your entire foot to fit on it as you step.
If you don’t have a step, no worries! This step aerobics workout at home transitions nicely into a gentle walk for seniors and beginners. If any of the moves are too much, just march in place or do a move that feels comfortable. You can even join us in a chair!
Want more challenge? Add light weights and/or speed up the tempo!
This step workout for weight loss features 6 exercises in a pyramid HIIT format in rounds of 30 seconds, 40 seconds and 60 seconds.

Thank you very much for this great channel. I'm very glad that it exist. I'm (only) 51 and was in the middle of life until the end of last year. Then I got the C-plague for the 5th time and after that pneumonia, pancreatitis due to gallstones, pneumonia again, spent 14 days in the ICU and left the hospital after a month on oxygen. I couldn't walk 50m without extraoxygen. Then my mom showed me one of your walking videos (however she found them, she can't speak English). I did the workout every day. And yesterday, for the first time, I dared to take a short walk (2km) outside without extra oxygen.

Thank you for your videos. I am 61, soo out of shape, (round is a shape) I want to get healthier, I like walking, but I have frequent falls. These workouts are something I can do, as well as a few others. My goal is to be healthy and have great balance. Anything else is gravy.Thanks to your mom for encouraging others

Woooow! Talk about being dewy! I could water the garden! For beginners, this is tough. And I go to Planet Fitness and exercise for over an hour on the rowing machine, treadmill and recumbent stepper. Wowsers!

I’ve never tried a step workout before but I thought that I’d try it with your gentle workout. I had to modify some moves due to a sore right knee but perhaps I will get a small step like your mom has and do this more often. Thank you for the challenge and encouragement. I’m 66 years old.

I'm glad I found your step workouts. I literally dusted the cobwebs off my step. I thought it was going to be easy. I got more than dewy. It was good. I now have a weekly routine planned out, thanks to April and Aiko. Monday, walk. Tuesday, strength. Wednesday, step. Thursday, strength. Friday, walk. Saturday, strength with HIIT. Sunday, rest.

Hello ladies! Took me a little while to make time for this one! Thanks for another step workout, it felt great ( ... to finish ... haha) and I will definitely put in in my "intermediate" playlist. Have missed you both a lot. Have been modifying all your workouts as now I need two knee replacements. There is a long waiting list but am determined to keep moving. As I have a step I had to hold on with both hands slow it down and rest more often. I intend to repeat that one a few times as it is enjoyable and fun. I also strech with you everyday. I don’t have a step and our stairs are spiral so they don’t work. I did the workout standing, for some of the step ups where not much arm I did a tap on the coffee table….now that was a challenge! Just lifting at that level! Everything else I did on the floor and sometimes used a 3 lb wight…in the shorter rounds :). I liked this one, will def do it again!

I’ve been doing your videos for just over a week now I’m trying to get back into moving around. I currently can’t even go for a decent 20 minute walk without the pain in my back getting really bad. and I know that it has to do with my weight which I’m about 260 and being deconditioned so being able to do your work out weather be 10 minutes 20 or 30 I love the fact that I can incorporate weights into the work out at my own pace. I am gonna ask you one thing, though if you could kindly at the end of your videos, put a link to your cool down because twice now I’ve done a work out without a cool down and then I spend time trying to find your cool down video which for some reason I can’t seem to find it all but if you link it up in the corner of the video, then it will allow us to go to it immediately after the workout video, we just did, but I love you too. You guys are great. You’re so funny and relatable and very chill and I look forward to doing more of your videos.

Hi there! A stepper comes with a basic level and includes risers to enable you to make it higher to increase the challenge. My mom's basic step is lower than mine and is perfect for beginners. Both have risers that can make the steps higher. I think my mom's step is perfect if you're just started out with stepping. We're excited to help you get stronger and step it out with you! ❤️
