20 Minute Fat Burning Workout for TOTAL Beginners | HIIT for seniors [NO EQUIPMENT]
This 20 minute fat burning workout for total beginners is a HIIT for seniors that includes exercises to lower blood sugar. This beginner HIIT workout consists of two sets of five exercises each done twice. With this low impact cardio workout, each exercise is done for 30 seconds followed by 30 seconds of rest. The goal is to do each 30 second exercise at a pace that is challenging for you. Feeling a little out of breath after a round is a sign that you challenged yourself.
HIIT (high intensity interval training) includes alternating periods of high and low periods of exercise. The higher intensity activities can range from 30 seconds to two minutes and followed by short periods of active rest that lower your heart rate.
Benefits of HIIT include:
✳️ Burning belly fat while maintaining muscle
✳️ Lowering blood pressure
✳️ Improving cardiovascular health
✳️ Managing insulin sensitivity (which helps the exercising muscles
use glucose for fuel to make energy)
Another added benefit is that you'll burn calories a few hours after your workout as your body uses energy to get back to its pre-exercise levels!
This is a cardio workout so drink water during breaks to stay hydrated. Also, for safety, clear the area and tape down or move rugs to the side.

I love all your videos, I have been working out with you and your mom for the last five months. You guys has inspired me to get up and move everyday, now I take walks and exercise everyday and build muscle twice a week. I'm down 30 pounds and feeling great. Last years I had total knee replacement surgery on both knees. I went from walking on a cane to walking up to 2 miles. I wanted to just say I appreciate you'll so much and I'm not giving up i still have goal to reach❤❤

Although I'm not a "total beginner," this routine,--simpler moves notwithstanding--was great: I adapted it by ramping it all up and took moderate advantage of the rest periods since I was shooting for cardio more than HIIT. A really nice one I will be returning to over and over again. Aiko had a smile on her face the entire time...how wonderful! Thank you, again, April...Anastasia

This was a lot gentler than most traditional HIIT workouts. My heart rate didn't get very elevated. But your workouts are perfect for beginners and people who can't go too strenuous. I also like your workouts when I'm not feeling 100 percent but know I should get in some movement to start my day. I should add this to my collection.

I love your videos, especially this one. I'm almost 73 and have been sedentary and feeling worse all the time. Have tried other routines but always quit because I got bored. But not with yours. You two make it fun and challenging at the same time. I don't see myself quitting. Thank you for the workouts and making me laugh. Also please thank Mochi.

I did this video for the first time today. A good workout session that I was able to fit in my schedule, then I did one of the Tai Chi stretches videos. I really like any of the exercises that raise and lower my arms-I need that. Thank you!

It's not so easy peasy but it's easy peasy, thanks to you. I tried it for the first time instead of a longer one. I sweated the same as another one of 40 minutes. It seems it worked for me. Thank you and your lovely mom! Without her I wouldnt try it.

You guys are just too cute. I just discovered your channel. Between the couple years of the covid pandemic, major abdominal surgery with complications and aging, I've REALLY gone downhill fast! Hi. Love your workouts. So many to choose from and you can make it easier or harder depending on how you feel on any given day. I’m amazed that your cat doesn’t stand in front of you and bite you to stop exercising like mine does🤦‍♀️. Can your workouts be done in bare feet?

Different workouts work different muscles so keep moving with us! 👏 Mochi 😺doesn't try to stop our workouts but he does love 🧡 doing a video bomb! 😉 You could do the chair workouts or floor work without shoes, but you should wear shoes with cardio and strength exercises to provide support for your feet and ankles and also for safety too! You don't want to risk injury! Keep up the good work and keep moving with us! See you soon! 😉

Another nicely done workout from my favorite ladies! A suggestion please if you have time: a super slow cardio workout for people who are recovering from an illness or an injury so they can get their bodies moving without experiencing a relapse. Perhaps worked in timed sessions? For ex: a 10 M routine when people can stop at that point & not feel like they failed - followed by perhaps a 1 M rest period. Then another 10 M section for those people who can go further - again followed by a 1 M rest period. Then add another 10 M & go to gentle stretches. In that way, people can work their way up slowly & steadily in their own time frame & still feel good about themselves!
