I really dont know why I like to the hilt this girl rendering her songs. It could be the combination of her very euphonic voice, high-level singing skills, great timing plus very clean and very clear execution of lyrics. Her very appealing pretty face adds flavors and colors to her songs. This girl is a phenomenon!

I give her 10/10 for her diction. The way she opens her mouth to enunciate the lyrics is a joy to any music lover. Her passion is obvious as she sings with all her heart, with pure abandon. If there's anything to fault, it's that she's simply too young to sing this song. You'll need to be in your 60s at least, better yet 70-80, to possess any gravitas or credibility for this song. But that said, she's a star.

This is a great cover to one of my favorites! Although, just my thought, “wayward pleasures” instead of “wild pleasures” would have done away with the prolonged “wild” to catch up with the tempo.

I listened carefully to all the versions of this song and now I’m happy to say that this is the best version I’ve ever heard for this song. I listened to it many times over and over again. Gigi carefully sang it with lots of emotions and the band is so good that it compliments with Gigi’s phenomenal voice. 👏👏👏

@@TheHubwoo It was Roy Clark's version...don't get me wrong, I loved that song then and I still love it now, reason why I got curious about Gigi de Lana. And the clarity in her rendition is just sensational as I said in my earlier comment. I kept coming back to this video since I watched this performance and I never get tired watching it❤️ diction, tone, clarity...just amazing!

The original version of the song was actually composed and sang in French by the late Charles Aznavour. The best for me. @@sonnysena you know, I got more interested in this song after hearing this beautiful rendition by Gigi, and tried to research who the original singer was, and got Charles Aznavour, he co-wrote it with Georges Garvarentz in 1964( Shirley Bssey's cover was 1973). I always thought it was Roy Clark...I really really liked the arrangement of this one...kudos to the musical arranger !

My faded memory says that I saw Mr. Campbell sing this on Hee-Haw! ( ca. '69 ) on Milwaukee WI TV. It's an all-time favorite of mine. Ms. Gigi's rendition is amazing. Beautifully executed. ( literally ). No one will ever sing it better than she or Glenn. She killed it. I hope she did'nt break a leg.

Di ko alam ng song na to at all. The moment I first heard it, I could not help but research and listen to the previous singers. Roy Clark, Shirley Bassey, Glenn Campbell and even Ms. Nora Aunor. Gigi Vibes version is the best! 😍😍😍

@Jay R Ramos Sure, personal preference naman music. If you like the original french then its good. Personally, I could not relate to the original french singer Charles Aznavour or even to the covers of the iconic american singers. So personally, I prefer Gigi Vibes cover version.

@@jobelgarcela9944 I checked it out. She's a good singer. But she needs a team (sound mixer, music/vocal arranger). I would recommend trying different ways to cover a song. Her Blue Bayou cover has great potential but in my humble opinion there should be a better vocal arrangement for her out there on this song.

@@jobelgarcela9944 Sorry, I did not mean equipment(everything can be done in just Laptops or PC today anyway). I meant she needs skilled and determined people behind her as well (person: musical/vocal arranger). Having the right and passionate team/sponsor collaborating with you plays a big role in getting to where you want to go.

Besides her YT channel, results show she has been joining Singing contests here in the Philippines. Hence, my conclusion that she wants to be popular in the music industry.

What a wonderful rendition of this song. Not an easy song to sing, to emote, express , keep it alive, interesting to the end , A beautiful song but the singer is more beautiful. It was her talent and beauty that kept me glued to the performance to the last note.

How I missed this song badly.. The violin at the beginning sets the mood of the song. Gigi seemed to be so into the lyrics which gave me goosebumps! Superb cover!!! I shared it to my mom's messenger!!! She is 82 years old and I know she will be thrilled to hear and watch this!
