It’s a huge privilege for the Aznavour family Mister Willie Nelson for you to have covered his song on your new Album ‘’First Rose Of Spring.’’
He would have been very honored. Merci.❤️
Mister Roy Clark was the first Country Singer In America who covered this song, year 1969. Peace to his soul.❤️

I have heard this song sung so many times by many Great Artists, but Willi's rendition and voice has brought the real picture out what this great artist, writer Charles Aznavour was expressing either of himself or someone he knew. Certainly made me stop and reflect. It brought tears like rain to my eyes. There are many great songs , but Yesterday is a song of not just a moment or event, but of a whole life. All walks of life. This song will be sung and heard till the end of time. Thanks to Seda for the presentation in this video and for Willie's Great Rendition. Very powerful. I don't know what else to say. Now I’m in the twilight of my life just waiting for the final chapter to be written.. so remember when you’re writing your life’s story, choose the right words, make the right choices so that there are no regrets to dwell on. I had the pleasure of meeting Monsieur Aznavour when he was in concert in Southport, England. I believe it was in maybe 1975. I walked to the stage with a rose, and his back was to the audience as he was between songs and facing his orchestra behind him, They told him I was standing waiting for him to turn around, and he cme over to me and bent down, took the rose, held my hand and kissed me on the cheek and thanked me.....I was in awe of him...a fantastic artiste on stage. I then had to mke my wy back to my seat in the 5th row, I believe, with the whole theater watching. I tried to act as cool as a cucumber and then sat back beside my friend who didn't believe that I would do it, and just stared ahead lol

I'm 79 and it seems that those songs of our youth come back to haunt us to overpower the noise and technology of our everyday lives. The gentle singing of these old performers gives me peace and comfort. Perhaps it's the same for every generation.

What a absolutely beautiful story in song . And the years of life experiences Willie Nelson has had. Makes this magnificent song project even more meaning . I have loved Willie Nelson's music as far back as I can recall , literally from the 50's . And one thing is certain, there will never be another Willie Nelson.

You have to be of a 'certain age' to really understand this song. Life is fleeting, and goes by SO fast - you don't realize that some of your fondest memories may have happened 50 or 60 + years ago ! " Much more behind you, than ahead of you..." A sobering thought, for sure. Thanks for the reminder, Willie.

I just love singers that have their own style. Willie,Ray,Frank,Bing,Elvis, just to name a few. They can take songs that have been recorded by many artists and still make the song their own. I, myself have been listening to this beautiful music for over 60 years and so much of it still brings chills to my bones and tears to my eyes. I really don't know anything about modern music (the last 30 years) but I hope that there are still artists that can be as memorable as the ones that I love.

A song that brings a quiet reflection to any man of an age who has endured many hard, rutted miles of dirt road that has passed under his hood. Youthful romances, homelessness, entry level hard labor jobs, war, marriage, child raising, struggles to survive, thrive and be successful. Experience success and wearily but happily enter retirement. Great song for reflection with a mug of black coffee before the night time warmth of a fireplace.
