Yeah :( I liked in the old broodwars matches how they would pad the end of the matches with a lot of filler so the result wouldnt be given away mid-match.

Chris can pick Ryu and beat all these guys, he's done it before. He beat Justin with Ryu @ EVO 2012, he beat FChamp @ VXG, and beat Yipes @ Youmacon 2013 all with RYU. Chris G is LEGIT.

EnchantedCactus I totally agree with you. With his Ryu deck, Chris is tough. But if you really want to feel like you deserve a win, you have to beat Chris at his best. Phoenix from FChamp came close, Wolverine from JWong came close, and Zero from a lot of other people came close too. Different strategy for different victories. =)

As much as I wanted Yipes to win this I have to say I can't blame Chris G for playing hard this is for money and it's win or lose. This is just an example that Yipes is not slack.

He explained in an interview why he likes being defensive and projectile spamming. He said he was sick of rushing out and getting hit by something because he was rushing out. Yipes was also using high tiers Vergil and Magneto.

Agreed. Morrigan's flight overheads are indeed tricky, but after the fifth one, I feel Yipes just wasn't trying hard enough to block them.

I won't consider that he still hasn't won Evo. Frankly Evo is like the superbowl of fighting games.

There are TONS of people who have tried but ChrisG is the only one that's perfected it. It looks cheap but it requires skill. He slowly chips away his opponents in a game where 1 touch = 1 kill. Respect to ChrisG. I still get bored watching him though lol.

TvC had them. TvC also just generally had better combo rules than MvC3. TvC is the game that MvC3 should have been.

As much as I dislike Morrigan, you have to give the man props. It may look easy, but I challenge you to try to do it half as effectively as him (if it's just "spamming," it shouldn't be too hard, right?)...he switches between defensive and offensive on the fly, and he's already shown he can win without her. It's hard to believe he was wrecking people early on with Ryu.

SmoothJK I'm certainly not downing Chris G's ability or not giving him props, he definitely has my respect for the grind work he's put in. Also NO, its not hard at all, I play a completely different team(Skrull, Wolverine, Hulk) and rely on combos, defense, and technique. Personally I liked his previous team better bc it showed more variety in not just his team, but him as a player, Much Respect to Chris G though hands down

NytRoTheProducer Sorry it's called zoning. I'm sorry to say look at how he plays his morrigan. Its zoning. Like SmoothJK said try to play his team half as effective as him. Its hard to do what the man does. Personally I don't play many zoning charcters(I play x-23, Deadpool, Dante.) But its not spamming its zoning. Spamming implies that you are just firing hoping for a hit. No Chris G is firing every skull precisely at the right position. I mean stop being so butthurt by his team. Seriously Yipes wasn't. Besides if it was spamming, it would be easy to get passed but its not. Any real player can get passed spamming, only a select few can get passed zoning.

It's money. Who cares if its boring if you can get the $$$? It's boring, but it's called zoning, it's called defensive play. You're used to seeing people like MarlinPie, Justin Wong, and Yipes who are all aggressive players. ChrisG just plays defensive and safe. Nothing wrong with that. If you can't beat it, you can't say anything to it.
