I have several issues in my low back. After trying everything else, I was ready and scheduled to undergo double-fusion surgery. By chance, just before the surgery date, I was encouraged to give yoga a try, and stumbled onto this vide. Almost immediately I felt an improvement in my pain and mobility. I postponed the surgery and continued doing this video everyday. Fast forward 2.5 years - my back and hamstrings are feeling great, and my mobility is awesome. AND surgery was avoided 😁. The video has become baked into my morning routine ... Thank You David! continue to do this video almost every single day

It’s very scary to think that someone would perform that extensive 80% fail rate surgery on you before. trying some thing like this. It makes me really question the medical community.

I've suffered from hip and low back issues for 6 years, that no doctor, chiropractor, orthopedic doctor, or massage therapist could help me with. Still don't know what's wrong but yoga has been the only thing that has helped, and this video is now my favorite for when I'm really needing to stretch out my hips and low back. Thank you so much! When I was in the Corp, the recon and marsoc guys did yoga for workouts then go on 10 miles swims and shit. Yoga aint no joke. I’ve started doing yoga ever since.

I am looking for a personal Yoga Instructor/personal trainer. I am a 25 year old male and former athlete. The reason I am looking for a Yoga teacher to work with is because I have some muscle imbalances that have been giving me issues for the past 6 months. Some history: I had 3 Ankle Sprains on my right ankle (the last one occurring about 3 years ago in 2012) which caused weakness and compensation in the left ankle/foot as well. I have remained active up until recently when it seems the old injury has affected me. It has led my right leg being Functionally shorter than the other (about 3cm) because of Tight Hip Flexors, IT Band, and Piriformis on both sides of my body, especially the right side.

I actually cried at the end. This gentleman is a wonderful instructor. It’s never about him- it’s entirely about the practice. He doesn’t pop off into silly chit chat and he is thorough in the instructions… even timely with breathing flow. I’m dedicated to his yoga videos now 😊 grateful !

10 minutes in, my dog fell asleep with his soothing voice. 40 minutes in, my yoga partner (my hubby) is snoring on his yoga mat... I would've fallen asleep too if it wasn't for the snoring. Most relaxing yoga I've ever done.

I had really bad back pain due to years of poor form weightlifting. I took a year off, got fat, stopped exercising, got depressed and I am only 31! Decided to give yoga a try, looked online and saw all these skimpy sexy women and it was very distracting and tried to find a male yoga video. So I found David, and watched his videos and do yoga regularly now. What an amazing discovery. I can weightlift like I used to (with proper form), and literally use yoga everytime I feel pain that's not muscle. It works like a charm. I hope to participate in a strongman competition one day, but will never stop doing yoga. Thank you David so much.

Frankly the best Yoga video I have come across. The music is so relaxing, the pace is absolutely perfect... not too fast and not too slow. The stretches deepening as you get the space and time to focus on them, and your mental state together with the physical stretches also gets the right time and attention to slow down... almost as if my brain waves were slowing down through the various exercises. The background is also very invigorating, I like the nature and the shivasana in the end. There is not too much talking either, just enough to feel and perform the routine perfectly. Thank you!!!

I can't feel a thing at 11:08, my right hip doesn't stay on the floor because I believe my right ankle and hip is too stiff. Regardless, I modified to the classic pigeon pose where the right leg is straightened and facing the back of the room, I hope that's the muscle you were going for in that stretch

Thank you David. I have had so much trouble with muscular tightness in my lower back and extending to my hips. I have done physio for extended periods of time, I have attended many over priced yoga studios and exercised to lose weight yet my range of movement is still limited. I found your video and tried it for the first time. I must say although i was hopeful i wasn't expecting any results however this morning my back didn't ache and i dont have full movement yet, I'm much more confident that after some more time stretching with you it will take care of itself, as directed by my physio. You have literally made my day and changed my mind as to stretching via your channel.

Just tried this routine because I moved the wrong way and had a slight pull right in my lower right side of my back above my butt. I think it is the sciatic area. This is helping out a lot!

At this time in my yoga practice, I find David's very Hatha style to be perfect. I do all of his classes over and over, and except for the music, i never get tired of them 😉. I enjoy his pace, the length of hold, the difficulty level is just right. I find David is the most egoless yoga teacher on youtube, maybe with Esther Eckhart ( but she charges $$) and that means his yoga is about giving a gift away rather than showing off and over talking. His classes are grounding, solid, with expertise that is rare. I love the focus on the back and legs. His body is built and moves/resists in the same way as mine, so that I have support for my practice, that is getting more difficult with age. I have a self acceptance with these videos that I rarely find in other yoga classes. Thank you David Procyshyn.

This was delicious! I suffer from chronic lower back pain and tonight I had a flare up. After this practice, my lower back pain had disappeared. This will be a regular session for me that’s for sure. I can’t thank you enough for your gentle energy!

I have had a difficult time finding a yoga session that truly opened my hips, low back and hamstrings. Where other videos have fallen short- this excelled. I started the session extremely tight and having difficulty walking- ended it with full release of my hips and spine. Pretty unbelievable how much this opened up my hip!!! Always had EXTREMELY TIGHT HIPS because the bones in my hip socket are bigger then they should be so they are always tights! Until I started doing this! Been to sport therapists, doctors and a chiropractor and this helped more than any of that!!!! Thank you very much!!! All the best!

This was perfect! The subtle calling of the trees the calming music, you’re calm delivery all convey a sense of ease and promote peace of mind. I am a yoga teacher, mindfulness-based psychologist, and this in my opinion has been one of the best guided yoga sessions I have ever experienced. I will refer many of my patients to this and your other guided yoga sessions. Many otherGuided yoga sessions move too quickly in my opinion, so that we breeze on through several of the poses not allowing our bodies to adapt, our muscles’ resistance to let go. This stretch is great! It gets at areas in my hips that I've never been able to target before with the typical hip stretches out there. I discovered so much tension in places I've been ignoring up until now! After doing this sequence, for the first time ever, I can run and cycle without my IT band getting inflamed. I am so grateful for this!

I am new to yoga, but found that this really helped with my lower back and some hip pain that has likely resulted from sitting at a desk all day. I've only done the class twice, but found I could follow along pretty well and do most of the moves. I like the pace of the routine. Found your instructions clear and easy to follow without looking at the screen most of the time.

Discovered this video in 2019. I do a bit of yoga at home, never been to a class, yours is the best, most clear and concise video I've ever used, just did this now before bed and I feel phenomenally relaxed. During savassana I could literally feel the specific body parts tingling as you instructed me to imagine them relaxing. Fantastic.

Been doing this yoga video on and off for about two weeks now. Seriously, this incredible. The first time, I could barely do it and actually thought it wasn't for beginners. After a long day and previous day's tough workout, I needed a muscle stretch. This worked magic! My legs almost healed and towards the end (savanna) my mind was deeply in a state below the consciousness but not deep asleep. I did not want to get up, BUT I had to say thank you :)

BRILLIANT!! LOVE YOU LOVE LOVE YOU!! Even with a 7 year practise, I just needed to find a quick back release, I am blessed and transformed. Such a simple, slow, deep and wonderfully brilliant sequence. As I lay back in Savasana, I was BLOWN Away at how open my LUNGS WERE. I have not felt this renewed breath in years.. My weak, stymied lungs capacity seemed limitless and Effortless. Mahalo Nui!!!

thank you thank you thank you!!!! This was so relaxing, I feel like jello! Your voice-over was phenomenal, I was able to do 90% of this routine with my eyes closed, you got all your lefts and rights correct and in sequence with the video. No stuttering, you sound so comfortable behind a microphone. During the savasana my mind became so heavy and I was able to feel my blood flow to every part of my body, it was wonderful! New subscriber here.

Dear David, thank you ,awesome. Wow I didn't make it past the 27th minute today , my first go at it. I haven't been in shape for LONG TIME . I was built in 1957 , poor excuse (LOL). I have been doing this program for over a month. I started because of severe back pain. Today I can honestly tell you that my pain has diminished by 90%. suffering from a bad back from sitting all day. Tried other 'flows' but nothing worked. Thanks to David feeling so much better. Love the targeted stretches, soft music, beautiful scenery and well explained poses. I'll keep this practice for sure.

This is my absolute favorite yoga practice I've done!!! I love it, love how it makes my gody feel (easily could spend 2 or 3 times in each pose/stretch!). Thank you David and doyogawithme😁

I created a google account just so that I could comment on this video and share my appreciation! OMG thank you for this, this sequence has given me release in areas of my body I have been trying to get into for years but didn't know how, it targets my most problematic areas. It has given me relief and more confidence. Can you recommend a video for strengthening the glutes? Mine are very weak and i have a herniated disc in my lumbar spine so need to get them strong to support my back, but haven't found any exercise that has really worked for me. Thank you and blessings!

I've come back to this class again and again for years! I love it so much and the voiceover is so perfect even after all this time. My hips and low back are so much more mobile and painless. I just wanted to do a quick 10 minute stretch this evening after a super intense lower body work out yesterday left me unbelievably tight. I found this video and thought it's almost an hour long, I'll just go ahead and do the first bit of it. Well that didn't go as planned because I quickly discovered how AMAZING this video is. LOVELY just LOVELY!! I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this video, I feel a million times better, and didn't even need to pay for an expensive yoga class. The flow was amazing, the music was beautiful, his voice was relaxing, and the stretches were perfect! I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so much David!!!

Thank you David; yum! I do appreciate the long guided meditation at the end of a thorough workout, I have rarely been so relaxed. Loved sensing my heart muscle - its a beautiful way to awaken awareness, reminding me to respect and care for my body temple. The mellow flute was lovely too.

This has helped me through my month-long episode of throwing my back out at the ripe old age of 23. It’ll be a permanent part of my routine now. You don’t realize how stiff all of these very important muscles are until you do these stretches. But I’ve seen major improvements in my flexibility after only following along with this video 3x/week for the past two weeks. Thank you!!

Simply amazing. I've been doing extra workouts lately, leaving my body a bit tighter than usual. This was exactly what I needed to stretch all the soreness out. Also, both my pups came into my room and made themselves comfortable during the session and were both snoring before the session was complete...lol

I absolutely love this video. The pace, the lag after each instruction, the clarity of those instructions... This is the second time I’ve done this practice, and I can be very bitty (little, sporadic, fast) in my approach to exercise. Yet I love this one. It will be the best spent hour of my day today. David, as a female with abnormally tight hips and lower back issues, this is exactly what I needed. I love your calm and precise instruction, the slow and natural progression into deeper stretches and the allowance of time to fine tune the pose. No racing = no injuries. WONDERFUL YOGA CLASS! BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR SETTING WITH CUTE LITTLE DUCKS! This is by far one of my favorite! It is so effective at soothing sore muscles, releasing tightness in the hips and tension in the lower back. I LOVE DAVID! He is an amazing teacher! I would LOVE to see a YIN YOGA class from David- just holding the postures longer would be Heavenly!

I would also love yin yoga classes from David! I have missed sitting in a position long enough to really feel that deep sensation when doing this and the 30 minute hip release video. But they are still great!

Just what I needed! Forced me to slow down and really hold the postures, which in turn instantly made my hip and lower back feel better. Will keep this up because the other physical activities I do, plus sitting at a desk, really mess with back and hips.

DoYogaWithMe is by far my favourite and YoutTube yoga channel and this video always makes me feel incredible afterwards. There's stretches in here that I just haven't found elsewhere and that get right to the tightest and most troublesome parts. I travel across all of London on my bicycle and run long distance regularly and this hip video (as well as the shoulders and upper back video) is the only thing that can properly release the tension that builds with those activities. Thank you so much! :)

Beautiful! Loved the meditation at the end on the beating of the heart. Felt the class speed was maybe 10% too quick. The half hour version of this class goes at the perfect pace.
