Our journey into the Pranayama series continues! Learn SITALI, the cooling breath, or as I like to call it - TACO BREATH! I believe a breath practice has so much power. It can transform your patterns in the mind and body and can empower. Great after a run, a workout, an argument or when you need something simple to connect to the big picture - whatever that means to you. Balance your POWER YOGA class, your cardio, your crossfit with SITALI! Use pranayama to tend to yourself. Practice this one when you need to calm down, cool off, relax or decompress. This is a great one for when you feel discomfort from anxiety. This breath can help you focus, relieve you from that pissed off feeling and is also great when you are physically heated in the body. Offering a nice controlled breath to cool down. This breath is great when you or a loved one is agitated. Great for the kiddos! Also awesome before big meetings, tests or if you are finding it hard to go to sleep. It may seem weird at first - but let's get the whole world doing taco breath as an aide to stress, anxiety, etc! Grow this practice with a focus on that long smooth exhale, activate your body's relaxation response... and feel the difference. Don't worry if you cannot roll your tongue - I got you.

When you were telling yourself to be serious, I was saying, 'No, Adriene, don't be serious, that's why we love you.' Loving the pranayama series. As a singer I've been playing with my breath a long time, but it's nice to try some new (to me) techniques. Recovering from a fall on some ice, so pranayama is great.

Hi Adriene. I am just stopping by to say from the bottom of my heart thank you! Your channel has been a godsend through recent times of family illness and bereavement. It's allowed me to take time for myself and in turn allowed make more time for others. In difficult times it is so easy to react rather than respond but through your channel I'm learning to take yoga beyond the mat, pause for a second, and be more present in the situation rather than worrying what will be! I didn't know this practice and I find it's effective. Taco breath. It's fun to call it like that. The cooling breath is good for body and mind it's true. I liked very much. Thanks Adriene.

I used this so much over the summer, it gets crazy hot and humid in NC. It also helps relieve headaches from heat and tension. Thanks for sharing!

Hi yes. I also agree with some of the readers on experiencing shortness of breath. But great video! Easy to follow and inclusive for all levels. Been going to a yoga class previously but it felt really fast-paced and the teacher gets frustrated when I don't get the pose. It gets unenjoyable after a while. But after following your videos, I find that my joints feel more lubricated and the duration of the videos is just nice. Pushing my way through day 4 of 30 tomorrow ~~~ x
