Exactly what I did. Happy to see a master stringer confirm that! Great video.

Thanks for the tip on those blocked holes! I am going to use that from now on! Also, how do you become a Yonex stringer??

strings are pulled at an angle instead parallel its gonna wear out grommet faster

Is there a reason why he didn't tie the cross on the 6th hole at the start prior to tighten it?

I was taught how to do a 2 tie off technique. Do the mains, 3 one side and then the other. Then on one side, start doing crosses from hole 13 up to when the crosses start at the top of the racket. Then finish off the bottom strings and tie off. Then finish off the top strings and tie off. I was told that it spreads the tension more evenly.

Nice. I string badminton racquets and I'm surprised that his first pull was using a starting clamp directly against the frame at what ....30 or more lbs?!? And he double pulled the first two mains, which he said he would go back and fix, but didn't appear to unless they edited that out. And he double pulls the last two mains on either side too?? Odd. Maybe it has something to do with the high tension.

He came back pulling the first string at 4:00 if I'm correct. I agree that double pulling the last two mains is odd. Probably they are on the side that tension loss might be minor but still odd.

Brian Bulla The way he does the last two mains is not odd. It's called "The Yonex Loop" and he explains the reason for it at 6:30.

Question though..once you've locked the racket on its frame the shaft is then noticeably shaking if moved or touched. So as you're stringing it what happens if you accidentally touched the base of the shaft or the holder or the grip as you're moving/rotating the racket in 360 degree horizontally? Will that 'ruined' or in anyway affect the racket?

i get my racquets strung at 40 42 but the strings need to made stronger and the grommets always get cut and pulled through.....lets make better stuff man

40-42? lmao maybe u play in mars with those tension.
@MRBACKHAND
@MRBACKHAND 3 жыл бұрын
@@cedricmalenab7568 it depends on the racquets bro.. Your string tension is there to engage the frame.. Some racquets 28 all the way to 42...and Mars is too bloody far away... I'm thinking an uber😂

Definitely did the first string wrong. He has pulled only one string but since he had only clamped the starting clamp at the end of the second string, eventually only giving the first string 15 pounds in tension. He does not clamp the second string at the top end and pull the first string again.

chaitanya kumar Samardhi why he would use a sgarting clamp on a fixed clamp machine is beyond me

It doesn't reduce tension by half like pulling 2 strings (similar to moving pulley). Theoretically the way he did just remains the desired tension, but it might have tension loss due to friction between the frame and the string. He re-stringed the first string again at 4:00 and it would be ok. But he double pulled the last 2 main strings at 7:00 which might have tension loss again.
@prayerpowersr854

we can determine the tension in the strings, T = mg + ma/2 30lbs/2.2 =13.63kg (13.63kg) (9.81m/s^2) + (13.36m/s^2) +(0) ___________________________________________ 2 =73.56kg^-m/s^2 ÷ 9.81m/s^2 =7.49kg x 2.2 = 16.49lbs So the tension in each string is approximately half of the machine tension give or take 1.5lbs
