To all my soft gamines struggling out there- work with double curve! We can have that. It’s a silent superpower for us and the minute I found out I can work with it a little, things have been a lot more fun. Being a soft gamine can be boring and difficult these days cuz the trends seem to gravitate towards flowing and maxi stuff, but the bodycon stuff CAN work if we just keep trying. I found a hip hugging pencil like denim skirt that makes me feel sexy 😊.

My only criticism of videos and articles talking about Kibbe is that they tend to show examples using more athletic slender bodies and when they do show people carrying more weight it's plus size. They never show someone of average or mid-size, which most women would fit into. This makes it very hard to compare your own body. The premise is there sure and I know it must be difficult as there are a lot more photos of celebs only to use but it still makes it more difficult for me to find my type or what would look good on me.

I mean they recommend lines, not styles Maybe looks at Elyssa’s channel, she does styles for body types and there explains how any styles can be done for any body type

it's really a nightmare to be a soft gamine... no clothes ever fit, so i stick to black leggings and turtlenecks

Get petite sized, play with proportions, makeup hair, glasses. Etc and have lots of details and play with contrast and accessories. It doesn’t have to be cartoonish I really like loft, Boden and Sezane style and sometimes asos you can wear oversized as long as you have balance. Have fun and don’t limit yourself

I get your Point... Thank God we have the Internet and many shops have petite lines. I feel like I'm a Tr but it's difficult to buy some small clothes but when you've git some bigger bust and tiny waist. Nowadays oversize style is the King and even those regular clothes I find too slouchy.. Reese Witherspoon's style is perfect for Sg and She's wearing some draper James clothes ( She's probably the owner I guess). Maybe you've got the access to that store.

Aly, can you do body types represented by modern culture? I love the classic series but some of the clothes are so outdated. Also, for many of the actresses you show as examples, I don't know their names or how to find them on the web to possibly get similar looks for myself.

I really enjoyed your body type series. Please do a compare/contrast of clothing for each type vs all the other types the way you did for the body type series. It would help to have a visual for some of the types that have similar recommendations or that are often hard to distinguish from other types (like TR vs SG)

Im SG and i always feel my best in fitted clothing and long bodycon dresses and skirts. I am a more mature looking SG with longer legs so I think that's why. but yes lots of detail works best .

Huh. I used to think I was a flamboyant gamine, but this makes a lot more sense. I'm the kind of person who has to fix their pants because they're either perfect on the hips and loose on the waist or not even wearable on the hips if fitting on the waist.

do you have any examples of how to dress more “sensual” as a soft gamine? a lot of the recommendations for clothing makes me feel like a school teacher, and i have a larger bust. it feels like i’m squeezing out of my body whenever i do certain outfits that are “perfect” for us.

Please do fat vs muscles on the face/body video, I have a hard time telling the difference. Naturals have more muscles and are more squarish/less sharp? Than gamines, yet soft gamines can be cheeky too like Naturals

this is all BS. Genetics determine how much muscle you build, not your body type. There are squishy looking Naturals and muscular Romantics. The Kibbe system makes no sense at all

My sister gave me a load of her old tailored trousers that she altered herself and they fit me so well, I’m rethinking all my clothing right now. It’s hard to find the right sort of jumpers now its colder outside to go with the hight waisted trousers.

@aly art I feel like I am a soft gamine at 5ft but have longer arms and bigger hands 🥲 would I be considered as a different gamine or a different body type all together. The types of clothing and styles you mentioned for soft gamine are what look good on me too.. but I wonder 🤔 what do you think?

Most people aren't an exact archetype of SG, so you might still be a soft gamine. If you're still confused I recommend lookng at soft natural and flamboyant gamine as other options.

Yeah I'm SG with a lot of emphasis on the gamine part. So my arms aren't quite as short proportionally. Although my legs sort of are... I noticed my upper body is more gamine and my lower body is more soft gamine. But everyone has their own scale/combo

Hi! I’m on the same boat as you, but you know what helped me? Take a photo (whole body must show) and draw the general shapes that you see. That will show you a rough idea of what your type might be. Next, try some different outfits that suit the main two types that you think you are, take some more photos and compare them! You should look amazing in some of them and that will indicate more clearly your Kibbe ID! 💕

Soft Gamines are supposed to be petite. If you are 5'7'' I don't think you are actually SG.

Can soft gamines have smaller eyes? And medium or slightly larger noses? Soft gamine seems to be the only type I match with the most: I’m short, my shoulders are quite broad along with my hips, and I have a larger bust line. All the other types do not sound like me at all, but it doesn’t seem like I match perfectly with the soft gamine description either.. I’m so confused! 🤦🏻‍♀️😆

I feel like i fit into this body type, but definitely do not like a lot of the clothing recommendations 😕. I do like things fitted, hate high necks because it emphasis a larger bust which a short girl like me doesn't need! I do not like prints of any kind. Only wear solids. No matter what kibbe says i will no doubt always be me!😅

I only ask because I have been part of a group for a few months now but I have only recently submitted my 'Strictly Kibbe' request - which is still pending. I seem to agree on most things with other members except from SG. If I am going to be commenting on a group, I need to be sure that I am saying the right thing, however, I think quite a lot of petite SN's are told that they must be Gamine because they are short, but they have quite straight hips and torsos. I think Hayden Panettiere is used a lot as an SG example but I think she may lean more towards the natural side. What do you think? Everything I say in the group is pretty much cited from yourself or Ellie Jean (at least I hope that I am using the information in the right way). X

Would you be able to do a video on Kibbe IDs in petite form? Because Pure Natural no longer exists, I think would-be petite Naturals are being categorised as Soft Gamines because of the sharp shoulders, but I just don't know. I could be wrong which is why I am happy to learn more 😊
