Poetry is inspired by feelings and he clearly could not come up with a single line for someone he felt nothing for but when he is in love the words come out naturally and he professions of love come out as poetry, it's not that he tries to make a poem but his feelings come out and as he expressed them they come out as poetry because he is pouring his soul out to the one he truly loves

Women who weren't part of the aristocracy, women who actually worked for a living, eg servants, modistes, opera singers etcetera r not afforded the same respect. For 1 thing, they aren't considered marriage candidates. U can sleep with them, u can take 1 as a mistress but u don't marry them nor do u have 2 respect their reputation becoz they have no social standing. The slowburn is delicious. Everything is too rushed today. You meet someone & people have sex on the 1st date. Sex is like a handshake today. Give me the drawn out slow burn any time. This way, you get to savor every moment & wallow in scents.

For me it wasn’t that the slow burn was drawn out, I feel just as you say, but I do find that I wished there were more scenes between them after they have already given in and are living their life as a couple or figuring it out. Even though I lovedctheir story and arc, definetly a step up.

And her hair is down in that scene..... I saw the hair as somewhat of armor she was wearing throughout the episodes. While she was soldiering on, giving away her happiness to her sister, hair was up. In her scenes of openness and vulnerability, her hair is down.

That scene was brilliant and especially so seeing his family’s reaction to his happiness. That smile of his at the end when the camera pans away was everything 💕

We want those scenes in season 3 more Kate and Anthony

it made it so much better imo!!!! edwina really grew as a character as well in the show. All we really knew from the book was that she was pretty and kind. the show gave her depth

Without a doubt the mature spin and changes to the character of Kate and Anthony made the show superior to the book. However, I still do wish that the show hadn't kept up the love triangle for so long. The bee incident should have still ended the love triangle, just not in the same way as the book as that would have been a repeat of season 1. They should have maintained Edwina's wish to marry a scholar and her lack of interest in Anthony.

@@nextstopxeverywhere More than cause a scene and leed to a forced marriage, the bee sting should have still ended the love triangle. Perhaps, by making Anthony realise that he cannot marry Edwina as he would spend the rest of his life lusting after Kate (not all to different from Anthony's thought process in the novel around that time). In other words in the show the bee incident should have made Anthony act as he did after the marriage ceremony with Edwina falls apart (obsessed with Kate but still not willing to marry her cause he will not marry for love as he has not overcome his trauma but now not able to marry Edwina). Anthony would have been there stuck between his desires and trauma. As such he would not propose to Edwina but he wouldn't know which other girl to pursue for marriage being completely obsessed with Kate but unwilling to marry her. Edwina is slightly hurt by Anthony's lack of progress. Cue in drama, as Kate is pissed at Anthony for his inaction. Have them argue. Now time for the accident (either broken leg or coma doesn't really matter) and Anthony realizes the precariousness of life and how he'd rather have Kate to himself whilst they are still both alive than not. Edwina finds herself the scholar she wanted to marry, and Anthony confesses to Kate. Last episode is the marriage and their married life together.
