The worst back injury I've ever had (including times when I was weight lifting) was when I woke up in the morning (in my mid 30's) and stood up and stretched my arms above my head. Something in my back popped and I had trouble even putting on a shirt for like 2 months.

Absolutely love Mr H. I think next year he goes into Cold Takes. Gets to completely flip the script and can play antagonist. Almost turn it into a debate session by going against very popular things but have an absolutely awful take. Really get people fired up. The teacher call: Considering that you'll be teaching these kids next year, you have an opportunity to modify the hot takes paradigm. Next year, the hot take is an assignment. One student each week is assigned to write their own hot take and present it the following week. After each hot take, the class can comment/provide feedback. This gets the burden off of your shoulders and gets the kids more engaged, encouraging them to think critically while helping them begin to solidify their views on different aspects of life. The follow-up discussions encourage healthy debate, enhancing their ability to respond to constructive criticisms, and gets them more comfortable speaking in front of an audience.

Mr H sounds like a great teacher, would have loved his class, and kids need a break from all the stress and boredom! At the same time, for.his own health he probably could afford to care a little less if his students are pleased with what he's doing, take charge a little! (Easy for me to say)

Watermelon sucks and I'm not afraid to say it. Honeydew melon all day every day. Also cantaloupe, fantastic. Watermelon is flavorless and the worst texture. Somehow mushy and grainy at the same time. Why? Why are they a thing?
