You can become a WALL like DRAVID | How to play the forward defense
In this video we will be covering how to play the forward defense. The forward defense is also known as the block shot. If you do this cricket batting drill set to completion, you to can become a wall just like Rahul Dravid.
Having a good defensive game in cricket allows you to chip the bowlers down when playing longer format cricket as well as get yourself through those difficult stages of an innings when the ball might be moving a lot.

The problem is, I already bat like the Wall and I play in T20 games, which requires hitting. But defending is an art and it’s pretty fun too!

For me, i can play according to situation but there is one bowler in the opposing team who gets a little seam movement. I can't attack him so I need to become a wall

Thank you very much. Still head is one of them key fundamental of good batter. You got to defend is ball is too good or you are saving/drawing a match.

Love your videos guys and I recommend them to my young players all the time. Only thing I would say about this video is that we want that nice braced back leg for the forward defence,which stops the batter rotatating up onto the back toe and the knee bending. Almost all examples in this video show that and it leads to a negative weight shift that stays more central and neutral. Just a thought when noting the key coaching points but then making sure it’s correct in the side on demonstration.

hi Im an under 13 player and i dont know why but i get very scared or make terrible contact with very quick bowlers, and I also step to the opposite side of the pitch and i think I am to greedy for runs can you please help🙏
