If they ban people for crafting stuff after they encouraged people to make new characters then they will lose hella players

it's stupid I've been playing Destiny for 10 years there have been tons of glitch bugs that players have exploited to the maximum and Bungie has never banned anyone for a glitch exploit because it believes that 1) it's their fault 2) we can never blame players for exploiting a flaw in a game

Fix the game. If there are bugs it's the Dev's fault not the players. Banning people to taking advantage of a bug is wrong, fix the bug don't ban the player.

U ARE NOT GOING TO GET BANNED OR ROLLBACKED BECAUSE OF THREE REASONS. 1: Crafting is a core mechanic 2: The people that don't have WONY and reached lvl 40 don't have much 3: If this is bannable/rollbackable, then the devs should do it to the people that did the overcapping materials by using the mule method.

I’m a new player that transferred from console I unknowingly did this “glitch/exploit” just from leveling through WONY I agree with widdz that it it completely the devs fault i shouldn’t be punished for the devs failing.

Last time they messed up the coding and let you get infinite money from free items from countdown vendor they admitted it was an in game mistake and nothing happened. Are they going to ban all the new players from this free weekender from playing the game

They would have to ban every new player that played for the first time this weekend during the free to play. I don’t see that happening. It’s not even on the Trello board.

There is no good reason to be banned, playing with the mechanics that the devs put in place as soon as you do nothing special to get what they are proposing .It would be a very bad move to punish people for playing the game as it is delivered. I did it, soon as I heard of it! Crafted every max mod n gear for builds I use lol! I honestly could not give two shits if I got banned, the game is 5 years old. N ya have to level a new character to 40 anyway to be able to do it, so you’re still playing the game as intended anyway

They should banned cheaters in PVP not for their mistakes in the crafting table.

the descent glitch for the levels was for the extra health ppl were gaining and is why it's capped at 2000 now. ppl had over 1.1 million health before the new brandsets were introduced. the crafting thing has been bugged forever many seasons now, they shouldn't ban anyone for getting some gear mods. all it does is even up the playing field for newer players and if you're a vet it doesn't matter just means more lambs to the slaughter. =]

Kvd told players to do this glitch now not rogue gold told players that if you use this glitch that you may be subject to a ban or roll back . If you use a bug or glitch you can't cry about it when it comes back to bite you on the butt . If you can't do the time don't do the crime .

I finally decided to get one of my characters to level 40 after never doing the New York campaign so I could play with my friends that didn’t have the New York DLC. I did the 30 to 40 because now everyone is going to 40. I do the grinding and the bench would not go to superior. I tried multiple fixes. I ended up deleting the character. I did it again now with a boosted character and once I got to 40 the bench was working just fine. I started crafting some things. I noticed some of the things I crafted were rolled to Max and some not . I better not get banned for something. I know nothing about. On a character that I’ve had from day one of D2. I have six accounts 24 characters. I’m not one type of people that delete characters to do the New York campaign over and over. I even opened up a ticket about the issue with the bench on the very same character that I was playing with. Just more BS.

So when leveling up your character and you need to craft gears, you get banned?! I dnt think so

I got The rollback back with the turret and I quit playing the game 2 weeks of playing gone screw that I’m glad u said it’s the devs fault for not disabling the Glitches

Bro the devs know they put that in the game on purpose do you know it takes a human being to change the gears value and drop rate into an algorithm. That’s like saying ohh there’s a new bug where if you clear the new incursion you’ll automatically gain the ouroboros smg like noooo someone change the drop rate intentionally if that makes sense. Now hear me out the devs have just released the new update and although we all know it’s not going to bring new people wouldn’t you think hmmm I bet they did this so the already established player base can help boost their “ new player/ new character” statistics which the devs love to bring up. Ohh we can see how many head shots you have or how times you have used a weapon the devs are most likely trying to increase new player based by adding this increase stats on crafted materials point blank. The rolls are still garbage yellow on blue blue on blue yellow on yellow stuff we don’t need you’ll still be spamming the crafting bench for god rolled trash 😂😂😂

It's not a passive to ban, because we don't causes any "error" in the game, we simply do a normal mechanic existing (create a new character only). There is a huge difference between using something already exist and cause a exploit. Example: Usina XP farm not people get banned, there episode set not exploit anything, the is a error on a mission consistency. Summit floor 10: Same like Usina. White Oak XP farm: Yes in that case we provoke a exploit there. Crafting Station there same on Usina and Summit XP farm.

So when they gonna ban Obesity Lag off all the leaderboards? 🤷🏾‍♂️ Ubisoft is a fucking joke at this point.

Devs mess up and somehow it's players' fault, time and time again with the Division

No, the devs only care about bugs that benefit the player, we still have bugs that do effect our experience and gameplay in the game, some of which have been around for years. This is just another example of greedy incompetent devs punishing the player base for THEIR own incompetence. If devs cared about the player base, they would listen and give us what we have asked for, not garbage half baked dlc drops with little content, and even less that the community actually wants. Instead the devs focus on making us grind the SAME maps and content year after year, punishing us for doing exactly that every chance they get. The next season is a prime example, once again the devs snub off us veteran players who kept the game alive, just to gain a few new players who will drop the game in a couple months when they realize how much grinding they will have to do, and most likely NEVER fully catch up to us veterans who pre-ordered and have grinded the hell out of the game, and have put together builds. These devs are casuals at their own game, and because of this, cater to CASUALS, lacking any ability to accommodate their veteran and PvP player base, because they themselves are garbage at it. So every little Timmy that has whined, but snubbed the game off or worse, never bothered playing it till recently, THIS is who the devs have been and continue to cater to. Casuals, who didn't buy or grind the game, who whine about leveling their characters to 40, while some of us vets have grinded out 15-20+ characters because we are committed to our builds and making them better. Casuals, who call themselves "gamers" but somehow always have an excuse why they can't dedicate the necessary time to gaming. Casuals, who follow all the "NEW GAME" trends, and suck equally at all of them, yet destroy the experience for vets after weak spined devs grow weary of their constant complaining, and ego bloated threats of lawsuit lol These no talent casuals didn't even bother buying the game when it went through it's MANY sale cycles, but waited until after the devs eliminate the need to even finish WONY, after the devs nurf and ban their veteran player base every chance they get or when the devs don't want to admit THEY screwed up. This is who gaming devs are listening too, not us veterans who kept their game alive during dry seasons and down cycles. It was bad when devs were ONLY listening to KZfaqrs and wannabe streamers, but they don't even listen to the streamers who actually know wth they are talking about, much less us vets in the same boat that don't stream. This whole situation shouldn't even involve the conversation of banning players, but more of how the hell they devs are going to focus on the fix on their end, and make the game experience better for us players, afterall, how can players use a glitch if it didn't exist in the first place, and the fact that it does, means the DEVS created it. I'm not saying players should knowingly use glitches, but when something as basic in the game as a crafting station has a glitch, how in anyway is that the players fault? Once again, the devs are punishing their player base for a problem they themselves created. Smh enough is enough.

The mods is ONLY affecting your session and is the fault for not catching during their QA/QC of client patches. The other ones as in the damage glitch, abusing the script from the Anderson manhunt and so on, yeah. Those affected other players outside of your session so a ban hammer is kind of expected. However, players who never did anything got banned and they were furious, so yeah. Just avoid the crafting bench lol.

If they ban people for doing it they are going to loose a HUGE player base including me. They already were hit super hard with player count when they banned for the xp glitch and they can’t stand another hit. Ubisoft sucks

No one is gonna get banned because this "exploit" is unavoidable. Imagine a brand new player reaches level 40 and interact with the crafting bench without knowing that theres a bug going on? How will Massive distinguish it?

Ubi-1 are going to loose so many players sort the bugs first before you ban anyone why don't they play it themselves. Not been on in 2weeks glad I'm hearing all this now .

You said it yourself, disable the bench if its a problem. My belief is that it's working as intended for new season character system where you have to start from sratch every season crafting and farming new gear weapons and mods. Stop calling it bugged or a glitch when its something as basic as crafting items at a workbench.

You see i was leveling a mule anyway for shd mats but i found out about this as atleast two big youtubers made video's telling people about it and to drop everything and take advantage of it right now however i have not crafted one item and will not as i took about a year playing on and off to get to 1000+ shd levels but that was with no pvp etc and i don't want to get banned over something stupid

It’s very unlikely people will be banned. How can you rollback a character that’s been deleted? What about the free week with progress carrying on over for new players who are unaware of the bug, What will happen to them? It’s hard to prove due to players not doing anything out of the ordinary, and Massive/Ubisoft have not came out with an announcement saying not too.

The crafting bench isn't that big a deal. Game has been out so long that I'd consider this a catch-up mechanic. All the items could be not relevant once new expansion releases.

This is NOT an exploit. There is no intentional triggering of this bug. It automatically happens when you craft items after creating a new character that is on level 40. I tried this and there is no way you can glitch this to get it to work, it just does when crafting...there is no way around it. A crafting table bug, that can't be triggered by the player, is something the developers should just look the other way on. Forcing players to create a new character to access extra content that was previously available without a new character and then punishing players for using the crafting table (regardless of the bug) is a major clusterf*ck. This will piss off a lot of players who will probably quit The Division 2.

Good morning, After 7 hours of maintenance, announcements all the time... removal of world third parties etc.. we are now talking about the crafting table bug! but how do you know after all that that this is not a normal situation? we can also find the game for around ten euros! That we ban players who use this bug after an announcement or email from Ubisoft, I agree but for the moment Ubisoft has not warned players not to use this bug... You could use the argument, "if someone robbed a bank, would you, do it?" We're all mature here, if you made the choice to exploit a bug. That was your choice, and the consequence shall be a smash with the ban hammer. You would think people would learn from the descent glitch but nope.
