A few prosecutions may make these hearings worthwhile. No one is ever held in contempt or held responsible for their failures. Its just a waste of time when there are no consequences.

These are not judicial hearings. These are congressional hearings. Congress can not send someone to jail. However congress can in fact fire federal employees and remove them even more so of those that are appointed by congress as the heads of these agencies.

If you ask me HHS should have never been created, the FBI had that job until HHS was invented and did not decrease in size once that responsibility was passed on to HHS so all we got was one more agency wasting money doing very little to secure this country and another agency (FBI) who is now a corrupt agency having less to do with more people to not do it. If this country was a business it would have gone bankrupt long ago and instead all we get out of the deal is inflation, that's crazy in my opinion !
