I have the same thing and l paid for my burial as well so my children don’t have to pay. My decision was because l have three family member died in one year and l was not financially prepared for all my family deaths. So l have one and my husband have one and so my children don’t have to worry about the financial burden.

Hi Again! If you start off at Kaiser in Sacramento then transfer to another kaiser in another state? Will Kaiser honor your base pay? Thanks Raven

You can transfer but each hospital may be represented by a different union or not represented by a union at all. There's no way you'll be making $150/hr in Arizona if you transfer from Northern California.

Nope. Diff union contract , cost of living. Even Northern California to Southern California is like $25/hr Less talk less of a whole other state

Its good thing you mentioned the autopayment to protect from lapse policy. Does someone present to you about Transamerica? which what i know is their Term life insurance with living benefits will not cover you if you lived or your address is in the state of NY because insurance there are monopolize by metlife that is what the insurance agent told me. The other insurance that will cover you for your term life insurance with living benefits is National life group, have you heard about it?

If you got your life insurance through your employer, it may be affected when you move to another state. Also, if an insurance provider does not provide insurance in all states and you move to another state, your policy may be affected or terminated (you'd have to check with the policy provider). Banner life insurance (the one we used) is nationally recognized and we will be covered whether we live in the US or or not as long as we continue to pay our premiums.

Can you explain more about the 4 percent rule. I am my mom's power of attorney, she has some retirement money and I invested in a cd which it gains 5 percent is that what are you talking about?

Wait Jason why not Whole life insurance opposed to term insurance? Term life is more affordable but lasts only for a set period of time. On the other hand, whole life insurance tends to have higher premiums but never expires. If your policy expires when you’re 64 that means you would have to pass on by age 64! you and Monica look very healthy and I’m sure you both will live well past 64 years old. Just a thought❤ Love ur content, you and Monica are goals bro 🤜🏾🤛🏿

This is awesome and great information. Dave Ramsey suggests 10-12x of your income. I forget what your income is but I feel like both of your term life payouts should reflect the 300k+ you both make. Just a suggestion but overall great info and starting point for all to know

Yeah, 10-15x your income is the recommended amount. We could have gone with $1.5 million for each of us, which would have totalled to 10x our annual income but we went with $1.5m for mine and $1m for Monica's because I can manage with much less if she were to pass.

Many units across the Kaiser system are better staffed today than ever before. It will be hard finding a job so just apply to anything and everything you see and are willing to work in. What's the worst that can happen-they'll reject your application?

Sadly, kaiser doesn’t offer good term life insurance benefits/options.. 😩 we need to get our union reps to fight for it..

Have life is very important . Term for Life companies are a money maker . Why . Less than one percent end up using it and money goes away. A better way is to have life you don't have to die to use . Living Benefits can pay you out today without dying ,meaning if illness or injury happens . The coverage will pay you out.. In addition you can create a tax free pension . A 3 /1 product

I disagree. You don't say the same thing when you get home owner's insurance or car insurance. Term life insurance is the only type the vast majority of us should purchase. Invest as though you’re going to live forever and buy life insurance as if you're going to die tomorrow. Keep insurance and investments separate. Life insurance to cover your families monetary needs for death expenses (including hospitalization), income replacement, mortgage, education, etc. Once you are financially capable, cancel the life insurance policies and keep the premiums.

We would be cashing in the policy of the partner that dies, but the partner that's still alive has their own policy in place and still needs to be paid.
