Had a “guy” walk into my local pub with a pink face nappie on just this past Friday. He was LITERALLY laughed out of the pub in shame. He came back in 5 minutes later with no mask on and went about his business. Nobody did a thing. This is, in fact, a true story. Moral to the story: DO NOT COMPLY WITH THESE NEW NAPPIE MANDATES!

I think you mean 'moral.' In Japan and S. Korea, people with colds wear masks on public transportation. It's a polite, responsible way to lower their chance of infecting others. With a cold.

They simply are a matter of control and turn the populace into SHEEPLE. You were correct about the misspelling, the error has been corrected.

@hrothgleas1 Yes, it is an Asian custom to put a mask on if you have a cold in public. But what if that person was completely healthy and had no symptoms of any kind? Also, if the person is so afraid of getting sick that they’ll bother to put a mask on, why even bother going to a public pub in the first place? Where, if they bought any food or drinks they’d have to take the mask off anyway to consume it. So again, why even bother?

If you look up a lot of Mr.46's stories many of them have turned out to be fiction. He claimed he once got arrested after protesting with Nelson Mandela. He claimed to have worked as a truck driver. He said he also graduated at the top of his class with more credits than he needed when he was actually near the bottom of it. The list goes on and on, its hilarious.

I'm proud to say, my kids act up they get the belt. I'm 31 so I'm technically the "young generations" keeping the practice of "Belt to Ass" alive, just as my father did to me, just as my Grandfather did to my father. It is also a trip how well it works, cause I just have to touch my belt, and they stop fighting and fall in to attention immediately. Ah discipline is a beautiful thing.

@@amelliamendel2227 The problem is that BIG BUSINESSES - who can afford lawyers and lobbyists (that's what "influencers for politics" are called) - and get their special deals, while Joe-Shmo from the corner store cant. This is the reason why Amazon, Apple and so on have their "tax evasion low tax havens" and small businesses dont. It should be the other way round. [In Europe: Amazon pays less than 1% taxes in Luxemburg, because all the bills are written there; Starbucks pays ~1% taxes in the Netherlands, because they redefine their profits as "licensing fees" that get those low taxes ... and so on.] Not taxing small businesses and instead taxing the big ones is a good idea, because you dont need that many IRS people to go through the paperwork anymore.

@@Muck006 The biggest problem then is the US tax code. Perhaps it should be simplfied. The Tax Code is 6,871 pages, but when you include the tax regulations and official tax guidance from IRS, it will be about 75,000 pages. If you don't want companies hiring teams of lawyers to look through that and find ways to get around paying taxes perhaps you should have a tax code that doesn't have those things for them to find. Perhaps you would want to vote for a president that wants to reduce the tax code, like Biden. 🤑

I remember the carpeted toilets! Also colored toilet paper in like dusty rose and light blue lol. Born in 87, raised by my grandparents born 1916 and 1919. Our tv was wood, and it was a 70s rotary phone that sat on top of the yellow pages next to the white pages.

The truly funny thing I’ve noticed is most older people leave those HUGE TV’s right there and just put their flat screen on top of it. I’m an electrician so I’ve seen this so many times. Someone could probably make a fortune removing those huge TV’s, putting a receptacle were needed and hanging the flat screen all for a decent price.

Speaking of shag carpeting, anyone here remember carpet rakes? My neighbors had one when I was a kid. She'd use it after she vacuumed to ensure there was no "vacuum tracks" visible afterwards. Granted, she was a bit anal about how her house looked.

OMG my childhood bedroom carpet was shag "seafoam green". Yes, hard to vacuum and always finished with the rug rake... I fn hated it. It was Mom's choice....
