For all non tesla owners, we rarely wait for a charge because we usually back home before the battery runs out. If we do need a charge, it means you drove far away and gotta charge into the local supercharger. You watch zeducation in comfort on the msin screen and bam! 50% more battery!

But I can drive over 400 miles and then find gas almost anywhere, taking only minutes to fill up. There are areas where you'll have a hard time finding a charger. In my county in eastern NC, there is only one charger location with two outlets. If you have a home charger, there's a real risk of burning down your house. I would never take that chance. Also, if you ever get stuck in snow, you will eventually kill the battery trying to keep warm with that electric heat. With a gas car, you could just crank the car for a few minutes to get some heat and then turn it back off for a while. Of course I live in a place where that would never happen to me. It only snows once every few years, and when it does, I just stay home until it melts. I don't absolutely have to go anywhere. I could stay home for months if necessary.

its been around 100F in middle Ohio. Hot, but not unheard of, and its not been every day. the alarmism is astounding. Obviously, if its gonna be that hot, you make sure to drink enough water and avoid too much sun exposure. its not as if summer is a new phenomena.

Regarding the nonsense degrees... two thoughts. First is that it's a way for people that don't have the cognitive capability to earn a degree related to a real world requirement; e.g. sciences, engineering, medical, etc. The second is that it's an easy way for universities to make a great return on investment. They get to recover millions in tuition fees associated with programs that can be filled with students that don't have the intelligence to earn a normal degree. So lots of bodies paying tuition fees, while the university itself has no obligation to ensure what the student is paying for will actually result in employment post graduation. Yeah, it's a broken system. And not just in the US.

They are all soft drinks vs. hard drinks (with alcohol). The carbonation was meant to simulate the throat burn of alcohol. The industry association says soft drinks. BTW, my soft drinks say Mtn Dew on them.

Somewhere out there is a 42 year old women whose father cheated on her mother, lied about the mother being and alternate for the Olymipc ski team, and was an immigrant who married for citizenship making her a anchor baby. She has grown up having to be wary of her father for she always knew he was a creep and wanted to rape her, and has hinted at that in several interviews. Oh and she still can't live down that photo of her dad sniffing her hair when she was only about ten.
