I admit, I did these things for about 3 years as we got to know one another. I backed off finally and the past two months I have felt liberated and gained my self respect back. And now she texts me and I answer on my own time and I match her tone but nothing more. I moved on and she is going to have to work hard now to get me or if not, that is okay too.

It’s like we’re living twin lives I’m in the same situation it’s been two months since we broke up after a three year relationship. She’s the one who’s been initiating contact and has called me once and another time by “accident”. I’ve just been chilling the entire time. Same she has to put in the work to get me back, like she has to commit and show me that she’s putting in effort to change in behavior and attachment style. But if not that’s ok I’ll wish her the best.

She just wants the power. Give it to her, and sh'e's done with you ! Keep the power, and she will chase you and stay with you. How do you keep the power ? First, never put her on a pedestal. Second, have options, or at least subtly make it seem like you have other options. Third, never fear losing her, and always be willing to walk-away at any moment. Fourth, never ask for a relationship, instead let her ask you for one. Fifth, never worry about where she's been or with who she's been with, be busy yourself and give her space and time away from you. If she is cheating, and you find-out, that means she wanted you to find-out to make you jealous and insecure. -- don't get mad, just dump her instead. Eventually, she will try to get you back because women can't take the L of getting dumped. Don't take her back, she will be looking to get revenge by cheating again and/or dumping you.

Thank you for this! I was a people pleaser all my life, and I’ve finally got to the point in my life that I’m no longer going to put ungrateful Women or people in general on a pedestal. Last year, After a hot and cold relationship, things were going on a down turn for me. As a last common scenes of professional curiosity, I rechecked to see if she wanted to still go to a concert that I invited her to go to a few weeks in advance which she said yes by then, but on the week before the event she said she’s too busy and can’t go. That’s it. I finally reached my limit and cut her off completely. It was a hard pill for me to swallow since I really cared and loved her, but I’ve come to realize that if I’m not getting any love and respect in return, then I shouldn’t bother with her anymore. I’ve felt better about myself ever since, and I plan to put myself first before others. Self respect is the key to happiness. 👍

I'm stuck in a place where the girl I'm dating for 4 months was all over me from the start and is now being distant towards me she told me she wanted a relationship with me but now tells me she doesn't know what she wants, I gave her some space and didn't contact her for a week then bumped into her in work again one day and we we had a chat but I still didn't know were I stood because she said she was confused then we agreed to go out on another date and things were ok we went out on a few dates since and went off with our kids on days out and had fun enjoying the weather. Then today she wasn't feeling well and was in pain, so I told her to take some painkillers and asked her a few times was she ok and she said I was annoying her because I kept asking was she ok even though she was in pain and we were supposed to have lunch but she cancelled and said I need space your annoying me and now I feel like I'm walking on eggshells at the minute and I don't know what to do honestly 😔

I’d bet money that you send her big blocks of text just like your comment above. It makes you sound clingy and needy and that’s the quickest way to turn a woman off. Grow a pair of balls, realise that she’s definitely talking to other dudes and then move forward and find other girls to date. Start by focusing on yourself and being the best you can be in every aspect of your life. Your body, mind, style, income etc. You may think you have something special with this woman but it only exists in your mind.

Quick question…3 dates in and she never offered to chip in when I got the check(not that it was needed). Date #2 was great, we connected deeply, she said she loved my assertiveness and even kissed. After date #3, which we discussed the connection we were witnessing, she said she was “missing something in a soul level” and called it off. Was she a taker or perhaps emotionally imbalanced or afraid to explore a deeper connection? I’m really confused by what happened. Any insights you or your audience would like to share? Thank you!

Journal how she cheated on you and how that made you feel. Write it down. Keep it or toss it, but do it daily about the pain you are in. Once the storm passes, you’ll realize how you were chasing someone who cheated on you and how much better you deserve

It shouldn't be a surprise... women don't need to know or learn any particular skills or behaviors in order to have men want to date them or to get men to be attracted to them, just be attractive and available... But men have to demonstrate value right from the beginning in many ways - so we as men have to end up having to working on ourselves a lot more than women do just to get dates and be able to attract the other sex. So yeah, when people and Society say that women have to learn skills or learn behaviors or how to communicate or how to talk a certain way in order to get men attracted to them, that women also have to learn how to meet men or how to get a danger how to get a boyfriend, it just makes me laugh and cringe and I just find it very stupid, it will never make sense to me as to why women have to learn or know dating skills when they don't have to do anything during the seduction or courtship phase.

@@ApolloniaPonti- it's a bit of a complex issue and I shouldn't have simplified it in that way. We're both in our mid to late 40's. She's developed some health issues - she's probably cancelled on me about half the time we've had plans to do anything over the past 6-8 months and we don't even see each other 1x/ week on average and we only live 6 miles away... That said, I can only recall her having cancelled plans with her family maybe twice in that same period - of course that could be the difference between a perceived "have to" vs a "want to".
